Sorry I’ve got you beat. Started a non-duty related one Jan 2020 and just finished August 2023. Still waiting all the last paperwork but my 199 was signed by all parties. Still yours took a long time too so I feel your pain!!!
 
Damn that’s extremely long!Make zero sense that yours took almost 3 years.

I had to do non duty related, then fight that all the way to army HRC, then I got put through the Medboard and finally got my last 199 this month. They’re super fast when you are at the end though. Wish the whole process was like that lol

When you say you started in January 2020, was that the date of your NDR-PEB or when you received notification of having a medically disqualifying condition? I'm in the Army National Guard so I know it's not quite the same, but I just received my Notification of Intent to Separate last month and signed to elect for a NDR-PEB, which I'm trying to get pushed to a MEB/PEB.

I’m army guard too. That was the date my med provider forwarded me to NDR-PEB. Took a long time to get army HRC to approve my back (nov 2022) and then had to wait til this month for the Medboard and a new 199

Jesus. That's lengthy man. Was the process itself difficult to get it approved as a MedBoard, or was it fairly easy and just time consuming?

A little bit of both. I did my first formal hearing in October 2020 with the board, then had a follow up with them in march 2021. After that one they asked my state to add the unfitting conditions and my state refused. Then met with formal board again in nov 2021 where they said their hands were tied because my state didn’t want to help. Then the case was sent to army HRC for an appeal. Got that back in august of 2022 and this past January I was put in the official Medboard. 199 final received about a month ago and I concurred for severance. That was the fastest part lol

When I was told in June by one of the case managers at MedDet that my case didn't warrant an in-line of duty determination (they didn't even have my medical records when I was told this) she said it was going to be an NDR-PEB and I'd most likely be discharged by the end of July, which obviously hasn't happened yet. For my sake I'm glad to hear this seems to be a pretty lengthy process lol.

Yep you’re in for the long haul. Use the time to get your Va stuff in order now.

Oh, I already started. I was Active Duty in the Marine Corps for eight years; July 2014 - July 2022. I enlisted into the Guard the day after my EAS last year. It was Saturday, June 3rd when I did my fit for duty eval and was determined to be "unfit" for continued service (which is extremely debatable and controversial right now) so on Thursday, June 8th I went to the VA and started my disability claims from the Marine Corps, which I have ten claims in, and they're all presumed service-connected due to claiming them within one year of separation, and got fully enrolled into VA health care.

Well as of 09/23/13 when AD orders ended and was denied MEDCON orders was sent to HOR and still after 11 years no MEB completion.

Today they sent me another AF Form 1411 to sign that has been back dated and just real tired of the run around coverups fraudlant documents and supposed honest NCO who are just there to help.

Help themselves more like it!

Have put a few threads up over the 11 years but apparently Pebforum has no answers for this debacle, so am signing nothing else until someone becomes an adult and does right by my MEB that everything I have been ordered to do has been done but no more.

Yes did 2 IG complaints, requested 22nd investigate and finally congressional but that ended with cricket cricket.

Rated 100% disabled through VA on 10/31/2015 yeah happy Halloween!

Area defense counsel has not email text or called in almost two years same for my PEBLO got promoted got sent to an airman somewhere and they went silent about the same time though they did state on every email or call no new updates.

So finally I’m either going to lose my memory or body functions before the US AIR FORCE decides to medically retire or just say get out!

So if anybody else has this time frame with any positive results please message with some positive on this lack of professionalism from airman to commanders!

I love my military family but the processes is just to messed up America!
