Hope this helps someone. I've had some issues, *cough* QTC *cough* lost my entire general exam and stalled for almost 2 months before fessing up *cough*, but things have gone relatively smoothly since then.

I’m honestly lost also, I got my proposed VA rating October 16th… I am Active duty USMC & I have not heard anything from the DOD side or Peblo I wish there was someone I could contact about this but when I talk to my Peblo he keeps telling me to just wait.

Yeah it doesn’t seem like the PEBLO can do much for us at this point besides give updates. And if they don’t have any new info they default to “sit tight”. Fwiw I’ve skimmed the usmc case timelines and it seems like usmc takes much longer than army at this stage. Theres a phone number for the PEB bouncing around the usmc case timelines forum that you might be able to get a hold of.

Yeah I honestly don’t understand what’s the hold up I feel as if I was a different branch I’d be already receiving my DOD rating and getting findings back etc if you find that number do you think you could send it to me on here Imma keep searching but thank you so much for that.

This is allegedly the PEB phone number for the crayon eaters 571-442-0592. A bunch of the threads mention at least 2 months from receiving proposed ratings to getting the DOD ratings for you guys. Something something lots of cases dumped at once, working through backlog. Holiday slowdown is coming up too, I’m not expecting my DOD ratings till mid January because of that.

I tried calling that number 4 times today now LOL no one answers but I’m gonna keep trying too call apparently someone I know waited 3 months until someone answered I’m really hoping to get my DOD rating by next month but who knows like you said I’m just really frustrated because it’s been 2 years in this process now for me and I’m just fed up and ready to move on with my life :(

I'm also at Carson.

My VA case closed November 10th

Da 199 is typed and been awaiting signatures since November 19th..

I’m sure PEBLO said the only thing they can ever say and that’s give a status update. Seems like average from claims close to 199 is 3 weeks so hopefully you get it this week.

When you received your orders was there a NLT date to leave the installation and an actual out of the army date? Just curious as to why your terminal leave starts a month out. I’m currently waiting for my da199 I signed my narsum on Dec 12. So I suspect I won’t be waiting too much longer for the da199. My Va case closed on January 2nd. So maybe about three more weeks?

Yes, after you get your 199 the SFAC reaches out to you and starts to work your orders. You nail down a ETS/retirement day with them, they get you orders, and that drives your “final out” day. Final out day is dictated by whether or not you’re taking terminal leave; 24 hours prior if no and 48 hours prior if yes. Expect that when you get your 199 (yeah probably by the end of the month for you if your timeline is like mine) that your final out day will be the end of the following month (Feb 26-ish for you.

Thank you for the insight, and for clarifying the Final Out date for me I’m looking forward to getting out of here and moving on with my life.

I signed my DA199 on Thursday Jan 11th 40% DOD 100%VA when should I expect to realistically see my orders? My peblo says 2-5 days…

Yeah man I would expect by Friday at the latest based on when I got mine. Congrats on clearing that hurdle. Good luck with signing out and all that.

Any advice on how to be successful with the rebuttal?

Which rebuttal? If you're asking about the MEB portion - unfortunately not much since mine wasn't successful. The lawyers advised that MEB rebuttals have a low success rate. Only advice is to collect statements gather any evidence that isn't already in the systems. PEB portion has a better chance of getting something added as disqualifying (if that's what you're trying to do).

Does it take long to get ratings after Narsum? Also are you able to final out within 2-3 weeks after receiving ratings?

I was told the same by my legal. He said the PEB takes way less time and generally works in the SMs favor with proper evidence.
