Spine fusion L5/S1 chance for Medboard?

Good morning I am active duty navy with 7 years of service, I’ve just seen my neurosurgeon (civ) and he recommends a spinal fusion surgery for my spondylethesis.

My question is, what are the chances of me going to Medboard and being medically retired ? I only have a year and a half left of service and I’m told the Medboard process can last 2 years.

Has anyone else been processed out for this surgery ?
 
The meb possibility completely depends on you. If you tell your pcm you feel good and can PT and have no limitations and your surgeon recommends the same with no restrictions after you recover (generally 60 days con leave) you will not face an meb.
