Am I just being anxious for no reason

So that seems to be the mark - 57 days. Wonder if anyone has QA time significantly shorter than that…
I am at 74 days post VA close and 28 days since "unfit" decision however my letter from December 3rd already said unfit. Told by the PEB number today to wait 4 more weeks.

This is my timeline now. I'm still waiting for my DD214, but I just checked out of my command yesterday and begin terminal tonight at 1801.

As far as what happens after you approve your findings, your command will get a message to request orders, from there you will get orders for you to separate or retire. There will be a few forms that you have to fill out for your DD214 out processing, and you will check out and separate or retire.

Thank you so much for the info! Congratulations on medical retirement!

How many days of leave did you have on the books? Is that how they chose 23 March for your retirement? I have 65 days right now.

How does it feel to finally be done and out my man? I'm happy for you!

I did not receive a DD214 until my first day as a civilian. Best wishes in retirement.

I had a total of like 76 days when I realized that time was limited so I got onto a leave period as I was awaiting final findings. I ended up with 38 days of terminal leave and will end up selling 7.5 days of leave back due to the NLT date of retirement.

Honestly, my orders had like 4 other folks listed on them as well with their dates. It seemed to be more of a line to get out of the Navy than any other way of determining a date. Who knows though.

It feels great. So much stress lifted. I have a new career lined up, waiting for the training class for it to begin. Just got a second interview on a "filler" job for the meantime and will hopefully be starting with them soon.

I had a buddy that checked out of post the same day as me. He already had his DD214, but I'm not sure how that happened. He went through the full FPEB process as well before getting out.

I’ve head this before. My guess is different branches follow different procedures. I was AF. AFPC sent me a one time log on code to download my DD214, early in the morning on my first day as a retiree.

I should have mentioned AFPC sent me a draft copy about a week earlier to proof. One of my decorations was missing and I sent them the citation. The DD214 was correct.

Just woke up to find my DD214 had been sent to me.

Question for the group: I know that the DD214 has to be uploaded into VA.gov, yet, I'm really struggling in finding where that is. Anyone know?

You can load it up to your existing claim just like you do with medical evidence. If you still have issues you can call the VA and get information on how to fax it to them.

Thanks. I just happened to find "QuickSubmit" as an avenue to upload evidence so gave that a shot. Just want to get it to them asap so there isn't a hold up due to them waiting on me. lol If that doesn't go through, I'll reach out for a fax.

I would call them after sending to confirm they have it.

Yeah, I called. Looks like it is going to have to be faxed in.

I uploaded mine to my VA claim (the second claim) and I got benefits on time. Congratulations on getting your DD214.

Thanks, yeah I don’t have a second claim yet, so I think that may be why the confusion. I called and was told that the QuickSubmit tool doesn’t always work, but he gave me the fax so I sent it off.

Really I’m just trying to get it in ASAP so that there won’t be any delay in the payments starting.
