Separation orders after FPEB board

Hello,

I completed my FPEB Bard on January 16th and I am rated 40% DOD 100% VA. It has been over a month and a half and I have not received my separation orders. My chain of command has told me to just keep waiting but they have not given me a point of contact or a date when I will be able to take terminal / separate. Can anyone comment on how long after the FPEB board you received orders to seperate / who I can get in contact with the to get more information on my separation date?

Thanks.

I would reach out to the transitions at your base. The one I'm attached to has been in contact with me about getting orders cut appropriately. Also how was the FPEB? I'm waiting on mine, still have yet to get a date or anything.

I do not have a point of contact for transitions but I will inquire further. I have posted about my FPEB experience previously, look at my profile. If you have any questions message me and I’ll do my best to help you!

So, I'm going to assume you're Navy since you mentioned JAG in one of your other posts. The flow of this goes: PEB sends results to NAVPERSCOM who routes it to PERS-95. They release a message after calculating your NLT date. This is ONLY via message, nothing else. Apparently, its possible to see ACC 380 updated, but I've gotten mixed results on that one. Regardless, the next step is NPPSC 1900/1 Blocks 1-17 are completed, and then Admin DEPT updates Salesforce that then is the triggering event to write the orders with a line of accounting.

I realized I quoted the wrong form. It's 1800/1, not 1900/1.

JAG is just short for Judge Advocate General. Every branch has JAG Corps.

I actually didn't know they were called the same thing across all branches. Everything else is different so I made an assumption haha.

Haha yeah. Most branches have nicknames for them. I've never actually heard anyone call them JAGs in the Navy, we always just call them Judge.

Submariners don't have much exposure to the JAGs until you get to the command level. No reason for it since the squadrons/groups are responsible for all the General/Special courts martial.

Pretty much if you screw up enough, the ISIC takes over.

On the carrier both our legal officers were JAGs. So they were handling everything down to DRBs

From what I've seen, it can sometimes take 60–90 days after the FPEB for separation orders to come through, especially if there's any backlog at your Transition Center. If it’s been over 45 days, it might be worth reaching out to your PEBLO again or even contacting your local S1 or MPD directly, they might be able to track it down or escalate it.
