Just reaching out to see what the "typical" timeline is to receive separation/retirement orders after receiving a new Release from Active Duty date (EAOS).

Trying to get my household goods shipped from San Diego so I can leave by the end of this month but the the household goods department won't accept the Naval message with the new EAOS/Retirement information as my PEBLO claimed, they will only accept orders with funding information.

Here is my current timeline:

Accepted findings for PDRL 16May
Received naval message on 28May with new separation date being 17July and PDRL 18July.
Pre-separation paperwork for orders and DD214 was filed on the 5th June.

I accepted and signed findings on: 3/25/25
TDRL Message Traffic released: 4/17/25
Orders received on NSIPS: 4/23/25
My retirement date was 5/29/25.

So all-in-all, about a month from accepting findings until orders at least for me. I was west coast Navy.

How long after receiving the NAVADMIN message with your new separation date did it take for your actual separation orders with funding info to come through?

How long after receiving the NAVADMIN message with your new separation date did it take for your actual separation orders with funding info to come through?

So the NAVADMIN message was received on May 28 with my new separation date being 17July. The admin team put in the paperwork on June 5 to TSC Norfolk and I finally received my orders on the 16th, seven days later. I also received my DD214 yesterday.

In total, it took from May28 to Jun16. Around 20 days after the message. However, the career counselor fell behind and delayed putting in my separation package so there may have had orders earlier by 2-3 days.

Word of advice, as soon as you get the NAVADMIN message, get the paperwork completed and submitted by your career counseling team as soon as possible.

Where would I receive the NAVADMIN message or be able to see the message? I signed the findings on 10JUN2025. Thanks in advance.
