No worries - excited to see thay you will have about 5 months total from start of IDES to NLT date. If my processing timeline can stick close to that, I'll be grateful. This waiting is excruciating!

The NLT date isn't set in stone. You can choose to get out sooner but it's a 90 day window they give people to work with.

I got my NLT date in early April and my NLT was early July. I can't remember the exact dates right now but I picked up my DD214 two days ago. I chose 13 May as my final date.

**Edit - I got out at Bragg as well **

I went through VES, are you having issues with them?

No issues. Just feeling extremely impatient. More curious about their turn-around time with VA and PEBLO.
Everything seemed to move pretty quick. My entire process had some delays due to the shutdown in the fall and then when my packet was submitted to the PEB the first time the system somehow didn't receive it but I didn't find out until a month later when I finally spoke to the lady in charge of all the PEBLOs. Once she caught the error and submitted my packet correctly things went real quick.

All that to say VES seemed to be on top of it and once you're past them it's just between you and your PEBLO and the PEB.

That's great information, thank you for that!! So far, I am thinking of starting my terminal on June 22nd to give me some time to clear in case something goes wrong. VA effective date of July 20th and expected first check of September 1st.

Sounds about right. Except for CIF and the final stops, I cleared installation in two days. It can be done really quick.

I was just thinking about it and it was five business days after I sent up the PAR requesting my separation date, which I was able to do the same day as receiving my NLT date.
Just found out about this today, sadly. I submitted everything to my Commander today. Hopefully, by tomorrow, everything will be signed so that I can submit the PAR for orders. Also, for the PAR to request installation clearing papers, was that initiated by you or your S1?

I created the PAR, but my S1 had to route it to the correct UDL for Transition.

03 JUN 2026: Transportation Brief
05 JUN 2026: CIF turn-in
8 JUN 2026: Planning on finishing unit clearing. CIF is the only thing holding me back from doing so.
16 JUN 2026: Should be receiving installation clearing papers
22 JUN 2026: House Hunting PTDY
1 JUL 2026: On-post housing final day, DD 214 pick up, and final clearing stamp
02 JUL 2026: Terminal leave starts
21 JUL 2026: Terminal Leave ends, final day in the Army.

Kind of amazed and scared of how fast the last few weeks have gone by, but excited for what's to come. Good luck to everyone going through the IDES process still, and blessings.

Congrats man, that's coming soon.

What did you do for movers? PPM, or gov pcs? We are trying to figure out what to do since the time hack so short between orders and clearing.

We are on the same boat; you have a right to a final move-out and have 180 days to use it. We decided to do our own move, literally pack our cars and leave, no DPS involved. This is peak season for them right now, and scheduling is 4 to 6 weeks out for a military move. PPM is also available, but honestly, I just did not want to deal with DPS anymore and decided to bypass it totally. We are staying local, about 20 minutes from Bragg, so moving should not be a big of an issue for us. Plus, we are having some family members drive out here to help us.

Gotcha, that makes sense. We are thinking DPS cause this season of life has been so difficult. We are also moving to Indiana. Thanks for the info.

I will definitely use DPS on your case since it is out of state. PPM will be the best bet, or try to have them expedite the military move due to the timeline between orders cut-out and clearing being so short. And no problem, brother. Wishing you all the best!
