Okay, I am still getting a bunch of bs from my PEBLO. I see a lot of soldiers on here at JBLM PEB that got their unfit ruling within 2-6 weeks. I am constantly being told that it will take 4 months for that ruling. If you have accurate timelines and info on why and how you got results back within a few weeks please respond. My packet was received at JBLM PEB 7 Sep.

It depends on who your PEBLO is. My PEBLO gave me my preliminary unfit memo but a lot of peblos won't give it to you because it is only preliminary and not final until the 199 is typed up. I used my preliminary unfit memo to clear CIF. You can try and ask your PEBLO for it, it's kind of a toss up if they will give it to you or not, otherwise you have to wait for your 199

My rating phase took 4 months. MEB decided I had unfit conditions and my stuff was sent to the VA for ratings about a month after I appealed my NARSUM.

Took the VA 4 months to process the ratings determinations, then PEBLO let me know a couple of weeks after that.

I assume the PEB for those two weeks had to get everything typed up before my PEBLO told me.

Total time from MEB (post NARSUM appeal) to notification by PEBLO of DoD/VA rating results was 4 1/2 - almost 5 months.

It was exactly 60 days between the day I signed my NARSUM and the day I signed my 199. I never saw my unfit memo.

Not quite at that point yet but I will keep you posted when I do.

Your NARSUM will state each condition and state whether or not each condition is fit or unfit for further military service.

It's then sent to the VA and they rate all the conditions.

So then what do you sign at the end of your MEB? I thought that was your NARSUM? I feel silly, either way... I still feel like I should have known something. The MEB packet said PTSD does not meet retention standards, but everything else did.... PEB will tell me if PTSD is unfit or fit, hopefully unfit.

Mine is over the 100 day mark and no light at the end of the tunnel yet...

Hey EOD, mine took 57 days from when I signed Narsum to getting 199. Im at JBLM.
The NARSUM is what you sign at the end of the MEB right?, before the packet is sent to the PEB? I am still trying to clear that up. That way I can have an accurate grasp on the timeline. My packet was received 7 SEP at PEB.

I didn't get any rating from VA and I called them they said they are waitting for Unfitting memo from PEB.

Once the PEB determines that you are unfit, they send an unfit letter to the VA. Once the VA receives the memorandum they can start processing your claim to get initial ratings done. Remember that these ratings are initial and not fully processed until you are released from the military.

Question: So who has the oversight of the rating department?

I asked because my eBenefits has said, "Required Evidence is Overdue". I ask the PEBLO and MSC about the statement and they say that, "I have not heard anything, so there must not be anything wrong", and I have heard, "that is just a holding area that the VA puts people in during the process".

Surely someone can provide some accurate feedback on why it states this on my eBenefits and can provide some insight into the the offices at the VA.

I do not know who has oversight of DRAS. I do know that a few months back there was an update to ebenefits and most people on the forums asked the same thing about "Required Evidence is Overdue" because it showed up after the update. Never saw any answer about it and guess it is "business as usual".

According to all the timeline that I was handed during the beginning of this epic battle, the PEB/Ratings was aprox. 120 days. So what happens if/when it goes past that 120 days?

I have a job offer that is dependent on physically being at the location on 1 Jan 13. According to all the timelines, maxed out, I would have been able to make this date; but not if the process just keeps going and going and going...

Anyone have a # I can call to check status? I tried calling JBLM PEB but got a machine. Left a message, never got a call back. I would just like to check with the VA to see if they got a memo or anything, more of a piece of mind. Also, I guess the time frame from PEB receipt of packet to signing of 199 is roughly 3-4 months? Got it.
