Fort Lewis PEB

Hey JJDE next step is to wait on the fit/unfit finding from the PEB. I keep getting different timelines on the amount of time that it takes for them to do that. Then it goes to the VA for ratings and that has been about 4-6 months avg that I have been told seen longer and seen shorter. Once the VA gets done with that you get a 199 typed up and not sure how long that takes but apparently from those on JBLM it takes a while. Once that is done it is transproc list and then out of the army :) Provided you don't want to appeal anything.

My NARSUM went up to Fort Lewis on 28 September 2012. So fart it has been a month and still no unfit/or fit decision. My PEBLO told me that it might take a couple of months. Any help or suggestions?
 
I think these next two months we will see a delay in the process again. My results from VA went to the PEB 7 Oct and still have not seen my 199. Then after I review and send back to the PEBLO I have a feeling it will be a while before I will come on TRANSPOC. Just trying to get a good idea anyone else in the same time lines as me and have not gotten their 199 or already did and waiting on TRANPOC. I think after you come on TRANSPOC you have to set a out date with the ARMY.
 
Well guys, with the system issues that they had the last month or two, EVERYTHING has gone out of whack on all timelines. If I were you just add 2 months to every expected timeline (except the 199 to HQPDA to Transpoc)... Generally from the day you sign the 199 they send it to HQPDA which takes 21-45 days to finalize/approve your packet, then it takes up to 15 BUSINESS days to get your name on the transpoc list (i.e. up to 3 weeks). Once you go to the MEB Transition Brief, your 90 days till your new ETS begins.

I've been reading most of these posts and I am becoming very frustrated with this process. I have been told by my MSC that my prelim ratings were sent back to the PEB in July. This was new information to me because my peblo cannot tell me anything. Should I be waiting this long just for a 199?
 
No, you shouldn't have to wait this long for your 199. I think you should get your ombudsman in on this.
 
does anyone know of a number that I as a spouse can call to get updates? its killing me notknowing whats going on or having a timeline
 
I am trying to figure out why I keep getting va corespondence, I got three packets with same but no 199 only my va exam and proposed ratings
 
Still trying to get an answer on if there is a phone # we can call to see if the VA received our packet. I HAVE ZERO information on my fit/unfit ruling, and my new PEBLO is worthless.
 
Get a poa in with the dav or vfw they can look into va system for you

I don't know who you all are talking with, but my VFW and DAV reps don't even know what the IDES is. They have no clue about any of it.... So, they are as helpful as my PEBLO right now... any number specifically or representative name.
 
your MSC should be able to look and see the VA side of the process. your PEBLO only sees a little of the DOD side.

MSC to me means Medical Service Corps lol... so? Where do I find my MSC? Do you mean my medical service provider?
 
Military Service Coordinator. They are the individual that you sit down with from the VA side after your initial visit with the PEBLO. They are the ones that set up your VA appointments as well. You should have started the VA Form 21-0819, VA/DoD Joint Disability Evaluation Board Claim with them as well at that time.

No! you should not be waiting this long. I signed my NARSUM on 19 July and my 199 on 19 September. My last day in the Army is 15 November. Contact the OMBUDSMAN...

Unfortunately as a spouse you are not going to get any further than your soldier spouse, PM me with some details so I can direct or help you with any questions you may have.

What DAV are you going to? If you're going to the ones on the Lewis side, they are useless... Go see the ones on the McChord side. EOD pm me I can direct you a little better knowing a little more info from you.
 
Signed my NARSUM on July 17. One failing condition and 3 total. Ombudsmen still says that there's no record of the VA working on my case even though the PEB sent it to them on August 12th. She says that she put in an inquiry for a manual update with the VA but I haven't heard back in a week. This is ridiculous. My case is as straight forward as it gets as far as ratings goes...
