If he is in the Disability Evaluation System for the military, the SSA has a Wounded Warrior Program that expedites the process. Start to finish will deal greatly with the ability of your husbands treating facilities to transfer records to the SSA. My process start to finish was 6 weeks. It would have been shorter but the VA did not send their records quickly. I hope this helps.
