I finally retired on 30 Oct 13 due to bipolar2. since then ive enrolled in the va and the va docs have diagnosed me with ptsd and a neck injury. i was awarded 80% PDRL thru IDES and my question is: if i place a claim for the ptsd will my PDRL status change to TDRL???
From the point I was found unfit I officially didn't have any duties.. I was assigned to a section where my MOS wasn't needed and the only thing I was responsible to do was go to my appointments and keep my section sergeant updated. I went and got a profile where my workday didn't start before...
Well since signing my 199 on the 25th of July, things have been hectic... But at least after all the aggreivation I pick up my post clearing papers on Monday!! Whow would've known that getting a Leave form signed in conjunction with PTDY was such a pain
I was just trying to figure that one out on my own. I didn't know that at less than 30% the VA payments would be for life as well. That part was never really addressed. thank you
I signed mine today man, my peblo told me that probably next week I should hit the transpoc list an that's when I'll get to choose my separation date. Just make sure you take your 199 to MEB legal to review BEFORE you sign no matter how good it looks to you dude
I hope so too man. That's why I said "my wait may be over" because after making me wait one week shy of 7 months for a rating I would hope the VA would not attempt to low ball me and prolong my stay here on Ft. Bragg by making me appeal
