Well I came up on TRANSPROC yesterday. Went to my retirement brief after talking to the commander and will be 100% out of the army on April 20th. Will start leave on the 29th. Thanks for everyone that either directly or indirectly gave me valuable info on this forum. It's been a long year but it...
Good to hear you are making solid progress with the "fast track" IDES program. Hopefully you will hear some good news about being transferred to the WTB over the next few weeks! Life at the WTB is good. Finally received my proposed ratings of 80% DOD and 80% VA. Now I'm just waiting on...
Thank you very much for the info. I've seen that info before I guess the part about waving disability pay is what confuses me. I got 80% DOD and 80% VA. That means it would be about $2400 for DoD as opposed to $1500 VA. So because my DOD is more, if I elect to have that $2,400 all be taxable...
Believe me I would love to just pay it and get it over with. Without getting into to much detail, she took me for everything while I was deployed left me with all the bills and then has been taking $1,200 a month from me when I got back and started the MEB process. I need the time to reset and...
I have a question I'm hoping someone here can answer. I recently got divorced in October. There were no kids involved and I was active duty army at the time. I was still waiting on my VA ratings and nothing was mentioned in the divorce decree regarding retirement. The only thing that was stated...
Yes there were many fist pumps! It's crazy how last week I was thinking the VA is never going to get to my stuff and then a few days later my Peblo is calling me to give me my ratings. Hopefully I will be out of here shortly!
Well my Peblo called me this morning to tell me my ratings. Army was 80% VA was 80%. I'm pretty happy with the results and now I'm just waiting to sign my 199.
Well I checked my ebenefits this morning and it went back to gathering of evidence and requested separation documents. From my understanding that means my ratings are finally done. Looks like I don't have much longer to go! 162 days for VA ratings at Seattle.
Well my ebenefits had some more movement today. Went from gathering of evidence to preparation for decision. Hopefully this means things are starting to move quickly. Not going to get my hopes up though. 158 days waiting on ratings so far.
Basically, you show up for 2 formations a day. In between those 2 formations you can either go to school or do an internship. It doesn't speed up the MEB being there but I guess it makes it more tolerable than dealing with being on CQ all the time. You still have to pull duty, but they are only...
You don't have to have missing limbs to go to the WTB. Since you are about to start the MEB you shouldn't have a problem getting in. If it is going to take you a lot of time to recover from any injury that would prevent you from being FMC in your unit you are eligible to go to the WTB. I know...
My unfitting condition is lower lumbar strain. I'm stationed on fort hood at the wtb and from the majority of the soldiers I've seen go through here, 9-12 months is about how long it takes to get out once the MEB is initiated.
