  • Gave up the fight. Separation is 1 Septmeber, hopefully that speeds up benefits. CalWorks should be approved with termination letter.
Just got denied for a clinical trial because I am not on a medication that made me nuts... great... so I get to deal with the ulcer pains...
Well, Ft. Lewis finally agreed that a NARSUM was needed and said my case might be duty related... too little too late... need assistance now

More details are needed....please start a thread with an update. My initial read (without more information) is that this is a good development.
According to the VA... I meet the DSM IV and DSM V criteria for PTSD and scored 96 on the assesment... so do I have it? Service connected?

The compensation and pension provider did several screenings for PTSD based on "symptoms" I applied for. I applied for anxiety, depression, insomnia, and sleep disturbances.

Understand that all mental health conditions (with the exception of eating disorders) are compensated the same. The main difference with PTSD is the (easier) availability of Combat Related Special Compensation (though, PTSD is not necessarily a prerequisite for CRSC findings, and, under VA rules, the relief of having to provide certain evidence to support the claim.

Perhaps you should submit a supplemental claim for PTSD.
Still in limbo. Might be eligible to submit a request for termination and file for regular disability and social security in the interim...
Ready to give up... not getting promoted, might lose my house... and NDR cases are ALWAYS pushed to the bottom... WTF!?!

It is not easy. Yes, cases like yours are often improperly processed. But, from what you have stated, you can fight and win. The hard part if fighting. (Easy to say, but experience has shown that cases like yours can and do end up with "wins."). I would not give up. You have a good case for award of compensation.

Easier said then done. I explained my current issue with my mortgage company and unless the army decides to get my stuff done right in 6 months, I could lose my home. If I just accept the separation though, I would be unemployed 100% and be eligible for unemployment mortgage stability. Since I work about 24 hours a week I do not qualify.
