    4th Period of Limdu STS1(SS)

I made it through 4 periods of limdu before I got fed up with the system and inquired about a meb/peb. I've got a co-worker that just started her 5th period of limdu. Have you talked with your PEBLO about requesting a MEB/PEB?

    Kinda Confused

To give you an idea, my IPEB took almost exactly 3 months, of course I'm stationed in the DC area.... not sure if things move quicker depending on your location. And my command also has no idea what to do with me. For the most part I show my face, let everyone know I'm alive, then go home for...

    Kinda Confused

Have you requested a medboard yet? You don't need to wait for your command to request one. I would head over to your nearest Navy MTF or call your limdu coordinator and talk with them about requesting a medboard. Don't remember if you've mentioned it yet, but what geographic area are you...

Yeah, it definitely sucks... and I wish I could say you get used to it. If I had a dime for every time I thought I knew when everything would be over, I probably wouldn't need a job when I get out.

    Kinda Confused

I've talked with a few people off line about my options. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from my detailer... he's not exactly sure how the process works out either. He talked about placing me back on limdu and requesting another medboard and he talked about separation. I've gone ahead and...

    Kinda Confused

In my case, I not only had a recommendation of unfit from my ortho, but also from my command. Had proof of missing 3 duty days a week for almost 2 years for OT/pain management.... still found fit. Was determined by the IPEB that I could continue on with occupational therapy and pain management...

    Kinda Confused

What's your rate and how many years do you have in? So far, it sounds like you're going to fail any kind of suitability screening if your limitations are no sea duty/deployments and within 50 miles of a MTF. If you pass the medboard, but fail the suitability screening, it will ultimately be up...

Found fit from IPEB..... what about suitability screening?

almost like someone hired a team of monkeys to design this process... that and another prime example of waste.

Found fit from IPEB..... what about suitability screening?

Just a brief update... after speaking with my detailer, it looks like I'll be placed back on limdu again and make my way through the PEB process again.

Found fit from IPEB..... what about suitability screening?

Today I failed my suitability screening. Should find out the end result from my detailer within the next few days once all the paperwork is in.

    TIMELINE: MEB THROUGH PEB

Sorry... can't speak for the Air Force IPEBs. I'm AD Navy and mine took almost 5 weeks from the time I submitted all my paperwork to the PEB before the initial IPEB results came back to me on 23 Dec.

Found fit from IPEB..... what about suitability screening?

After talking with my detailer this morning, I'm beginning to think the chances of passing my suitability screening are pretty slim. If I fail, he said I'd go back through the med/peb process again.....? WTH? Is there someone higher up who's sole purpose in life is find ways to make this...

Found fit from IPEB..... what about suitability screening?

I'm in your neighborhood, I'll definitely let you know. I'm going to try to contact the detailer on Monday and hopefully set up a suitability screening this coming week at the Navy Yard. Thanks, Jeff

Found fit from IPEB..... what about suitability screening?

Jason, I had been planning on an unfit finding. Both writeups from my command and my Ortho Dr were both leaning towards finding me unfit to continue with my duties. I had found a job, and just started getting my life on track for becoming a civilian. I don't plan on filing for a formal board...
