I don't know what formula they use, but my severance was $29000 and my rating is 30% from the VA with $469 a month payments. Since I have to repay my severance, they take $251 and give me $218 until 2019, then I get the full $469. I hope this helps.

My separation was 85 days from the return of my secaf appeal.

Haven't received my separation date yet. The AFI says 60 days but I've heard some people on here getting 90 days. I will let you know when AFPC creates my orders. From others on the here, they say severance usually shows up around 2-4 weeks after separation date.

My SECAF appeal returned today. It was exactly one year for the appeal. As for my ratings, they added low back pain at 10% and kept me rated at 10% for colitis. Good luck to everyone.

Just heard from my PEBLO who contacted AFPC that the SAF appeal is taking 10-12 months. When I first appealed they said 3-6, boy were they wrong. Good luck everyone.

All I can say is WTH? How do I and so many others get seperated for colitis and someone else gets to stay in? I seriously hate the AF medical system. I believe they are 100% biased against ground guys and ops gets all the hook ups.

Dude, I'm APG too and on the last leg of the MEB process which was appealing to the SECAF. Odds are you will be discharged, so knowing that make sure your Doc recommends retirement. Have all your conditions put into your MEB. Do not forget any. Fight for retirement, your CC's retrain option is...

Make sure they add them prior to the FPEB. I didn't have my other conditions added and the board dismissed them. Also, GET A REAL LAWYER!!!!! If I could go back I would have fought harder and paid the money. The lawyers there are good but have too may cases to be fully proficient in your case...

Jessica, I submitted my SECAF appeal October 2010. I have yet to hear anything back from them. My PEBLO has no information on a timeline either. Sean
