My understanding is that means you were found unfit and they are prepping it to be sent to the VA for rating. I guess there is a chance that the unfit finding could change--nothing is official until it is official--but it should mean you were found unfit.

Which claim went historical for people? The original claim opened for compensation or the 2nd claim of IDES?

So if you get 0% DoD and are separated, get severance pay, then get like 30% VA for non-unfitting conditions, there is no recoup? Only a recoup for conditions DoD found unfitting?

All I'm trying to gather some info on how long your package took at the VA after being found unfit. Obviously there is going to be some difference in cases depending on how complicated the case is but just trying to get some ideas. So please answer the poll.

From the time it is accepted at the IPEB it seems to be about 6-8 weeks until you are found fit/unfit and it is sent to VA or returned to you. Mine was sent around 24 April, Accepted at PEB around 4 May, Unofficial "Unfit" heard around 27 June and second VA claim opened 7 July.
