I believe by law that the DoD has rate you at the same percentage as the VA did. I am waiting on my 199 but that is what I was told before by numerous members on here.

Matt, To be honest with you my NARSUM looks and is formatted differently. So I don't know what is correct. However I was found unfit and my ratings have gone back to AFPC so my docs must of done something right. Good luck with the whole process and be prepared for a long ride.

I was sent to the PEB for the Chronic Paroxysmal Hemicrania

So after calling everyday this week and being shut down I convinced someone at the VA to fax me my proposed ratings! Still waiting on the AF to get back to me with the 199/356 but I can at least start planning and sleep a. Here is what I got: Chronic Paroxysmal hemicrania 50% Sleep Apnea 50%...

When I called the VA to get them to fax me my ratings they told me that they got an email stating they were not allowed to release ratings to SMs that were in the PEB process. Who did you talk to? I call every single day.

You should be talking to your PEBLO. Have you had your VA exams yet?

Be prepared for 1-2 years. Depends on a lot. Complexity of case and so on. Good luck!

I feel you eagle...I have the same feeling everyday especially because I know that it is only a couple weeks away from getting my 199/356.

Just be honest. Don't play your condition up or don't make it seem like it isn't a big deal. Keep copies of everything and I mean EVERYTHING! And you have to be assertive and take control of your own destiny because everyone that says they are there to help never do.

I would pursue the MEB. The worse that can happen is they deny you the benefits and your back to where you started. I think however that if it documented from a doctor who thinks it was caused by your service then you have a leg to stand on. That is my personal opinion. Go for the MEB and try...

Sorry if I sound ignorant but is this problem a Army only problem or a DoD wide problem?

Also my E-Bennies updated to "Pending Decision Approval". Does this mean my stuff should be headed back to AFPC?
