From what I've been told, if you are referred for BH, the BH NARSUM can take some time. If BH isn't one of your referred conditions, I'm not sure what the holdup could be.

Head to Toe Exam DBQ uploaded today...two weeks to the day from the exam. Some of the DBQs leave me scratching my head as they contradict themselves and some are the exact opposite of what I discussed with the examiner. I guess we'll see what happens.

Am I correct in assuming benefits will be retroactive to the date of discharge? I've heard in the news that the VA is de-facto not paying benefits the first month after discharge and Congressional action to correct this is forthcoming. Have any insights on this?

I'm not an expert, but I believe as long as your PTSD/BH diagnosis is rated at 30% or above as your unfit condition, you'll be retired. Less than 30% and you'll get a severance. As for if the PEB agrees with the MEB findings, I couldn't tell you. It might be case-by-case, but I'm not sure.
