Possibility of TAD Orders - Awaiting Findings

I pretty much asked my command if it would be a possibility and they were supportive of it. I can't do my job there anyways due to my condition. So I reached out to the recruiting command in my hometown and was connected with leadership there. I basically explained my situation and told them I...

Chances of staying in with Ankylosing Spondylitis

Odds of being found fit are unlikely to say the least. I've been on Humira a year now and was just found unfit. The fit/unfit decision stems from whether or not you can perform in your current MOS. So if it doesn't affect you being able to do your job, then send in a statement supporting that...

Possibility of TAD Orders - Awaiting Findings

I've been on a no-cost TAD helping with recruiting in my hometown for the past four months. I started a few weeks after sending my package to the PEB. As long as your command, doctor, and PEBLO are cool with it, no reason why it can't be done. Just make sure you keep up with medical care and...

Fort Hood Timeline and Letter to the PEB Questions

I’m assuming you haven’t submitted to PEB yet? If not, there is an option to submit a personal impact statement along with your package. I took this option and feel that it likely helped paint a better picture for the board. Provis provided some good advice regarding an IMR and the use of legal...

    SEPARATION cannot come soon enough

Agreed. Not sure of a remedy for this situation but hoping findings are received quickly to limit the wait.

    SEPARATION cannot come soon enough

Sounds like VA rep and PEBLO are just trying to pass the puck. As far as I know, there’s nothing you can do at the moment. Regulations prevent PCS during the MEB/PEB process. I don’t believe there is a way around that but it’s worth looking into. OCONUS move would probably be even less likely...

Need Some Guidance on PEB Findings

Have you spoken to your legal counsel about this yet? Definitely sounds like something they would handle

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

Hey there, They’re gonna keep saying that until it’s done. I sat there and called them once a week for months cause I was anxious about getting the ratings done. Doesn’t do much though unfortunately. I wouldn’t waste the time sitting on hold lol. My ratings took 88 days from when I was found...

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

Congrats! My findings came exactly 1 week later. I'd plan on having them by the end of next week hopefully.

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

You should be due soon. My VA ratings actually took 88 days. I was found unfit late October, not early November apparently.

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

Sorry to hear that. I wish everyone had gotten findings around the same time. I've had findings for a week and I'm just trying to figure out if I want to appeal or not.

DoD Medical Retirement Pay for BRS?

I am assuming I will hit the three year mark prior to the completion of my terminal leave. Assuming I am medically retired July 1st, my High Three average base pay is $3862.17

DoD Medical Retirement Pay for BRS?

Gotcha. I was just confused because the website made it seem like BRS had its own calculation. But apparently it is just High 3.

DoD Medical Retirement Pay for BRS?

@RonG would you be able to help me run the correct numbers for this? I appreciate the help and clarification

DoD Medical Retirement Pay for BRS?

Oh so it’s not whatever you’re being paid when you separate?

DoD Medical Retirement Pay for BRS?

    So would my calculation be $5,497 (base pay for O-2 over 3 years) multiplied by 0.75 (assuming I get it increased)? $5,497 * 0.75 = $4,123 DoD 100% VA = $3,622 (no dependents) Offset = 4123 - 3622 = $501 Monthly Payment = $3,622 untaxed + $501 taxed And if I accepted findings it would be (5497...
