You can file a service connected claim at any point after get out. You have 12 months from the date of your departure for it to be considered presumptive and receive back pay for it.

Unfortunately it’s not. It varies but I’ve seen anywhere between 3 days and 45 days difference in acceptance date and MO date.

Glad to see some of the other PEBLO’s are doing their jobs. I see some of these timelines and I’m in shock by how long their MEB drags out. Mine would have been even quicker but the doc had some things to adjust after the attorney looked at it.

Y code simply shows that the case was accepted by the PEB. The date with it shows when it was accepted. It’s usually 2-3 business days prior to when you receive the message that it has actually been accepted.

Makes sense. I seen others talk about it showing BEL but I haven’t seen that.

My claim closed in Jan and a proposal letter was sent….. then re-opened the next day to evidence gathering and review. I don’t know if it’s because I added claims during my C&P exams or not.

I received the same email right after they closed my claims and opened them back up. I looked on my QTC profile and it didn’t show the need for another appointment. I think it’s a glitch in the system.

Yea, the VA side is hit or miss. All of my exams were submitted at the end of Sept and my proposal letter was sent last month. PEB seems to be moving a little quicker. However, I would go with Hins’ timeline so that you don’t get let down.

Are you asking if it would effect your timeline or your rating? It wouldn’t effect your timeline unless you were required to stay in there for an insane amount of time. It could effect your percentage if the VA hasn’t already given you a proposal. At least that’s my understanding.

Mine was accepted Oct 28th. Received my proposal letter from the VA on Jan 20th. My PEBLO said that mind is still with the MO but I don’t know how long it’s been there. I’m gonna keep saying I should get findings in May so that I’m not upset if it doesn’t come soon lol.

Be aware, most lenders will not take your VA pay as income. This is because rates can be reduced as issues resolve.

I don’t disagree with you at all. The way I see it is that we control what we can. My VA claims finally closed, but I know that probably means nothing lol.

I have been told by a reliable source that they try to process mental health claims quicker. I imagine it’s because of liability reasons.
