    TDRL Re Eval

It sounds like it. "As SM is P&T independent of conditions with future examinations" Unless they have forgotten or changed the meaning of the word independent, it looks like you are 100% P&T above and beyond any TDRL conditions. They wouldn't give you the Chapter 35 benefits without that...

    Admin sep for personality disorder

Malingering is only one possible reason for a failed TOMM and invalid MMPI-2. They are tests of effort, and can give a statistical probability of overreporting. However, many of the issues you describe, and some research states some military samples, have a tendency to overreport. I am not an...

    Back on Oxygen

Tried to wean myself off, it was a No-Go. Sad part is, had to tell the wife she was right. Anyway - all you respiratory folks out there, keep fighting. If I can assist, would be glad to. Bob

    What if your found Fit?

You will still be treated - the condition will still be there. Many people (myself included) are not found unfit for every condition - it only takes one for the PEB to possibly decide to separate/retire. Now if you are found FIT on All conditions, then you still get treated but return to AD.

    Second Opinion need insight

It may be just an ease of scheduling issue. The important thing is that the second opinion occur and get included in your NARSUM Before you sign off on it.

    Lung issues /Random Asthma Diagnosis

I am late to this post, but here are a couple of things to think about. 1) You can't request a med board, your provider must refer you. This doesn't mean you shouldn't have a very up front conversation about it with your provider. Ask the questions: Do you see me deploying with this? Do you...

Will a failed PFT during C&P exam automatically be found unfit?

Part of it will depend on what portion of the Pulmonary Function Tests were failed. Since not all respiratory disorders fail retention standards, it my be that you are viewed as retainable with treatment. The first step is to have them explain to you what exactly is going on with your lungs...

    Viewing C&P's????

If you had them done through QTC, they won't be in the VHA system, and won't be available by blue button. You could request them through the regional office, bu my bet will be you will have a copy with your NARSUM before they get it to you. You should receive a copy of all C&P's with your...

C&p and sleep apnea rating pls..

Use of a CPAP is currently rated at 50%. I am making the assumption that you are still active duty, and the diagnosis was given while you were active duty.

    Asthma and now OSA

Unfortunately, not an uncommon result. Work with legal, get your information back in front of the PEB. It may extend the process, but it is much, much, much better to get it right now than to try to fix it later. Spend the extra time reworking your future plans. Think of it as an investment in...

    Help with EBennies

It most likely means they have determined the ratings to send back to the PEB. That will close a claim. The new claim is actually the same claim, but they cannot finalize ratings until you receive your DD-214. Therefore, it is still the same claim, but the ratings are done, it will show...

    PEB Almost Complete

It can be anywhere from one to four weeks or so - sometimes longer. If it goes longer than 2 weeks, you might start contacting your PEBLO very regularly - so they can be watching and checking to make sure it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. Best of luck...Bob

Needing helping to figure out RATING

Unfortunately, you don't yet have enough information to even guess at a rating. When you get your NARSUM, they should include the VA C&P's as an addendum. When you look at how the examiner breaks down the ratings, with severity and other factors, you might have a better idea of where they fall...

    Asthma MEB

Welcome to the forum. Did you run your NARSUM by legal? If not, go now and show them all your information. I know you've signed your NARSUM, but you don't have to sign a NARSUM that is incomplete or wrong. You may want to get that documentation to your PEBLO so that they can include it with...

    VA Rating

That "usually" means that yes, they have completed your ratings and have sent them back to the PEB. The separation document is your DD214 - they will not finalize ratings until they receive that (plus another 1-6 months). The PEB will write up the DA199 and include the VA ratings write-up with...

Conditions not included in the PEB, but still due a rating?

Here's the short answer - others know the nitty gritty details more than me. Yes, the PEB is supposed to consider all conditions - they should have been included at the MEB level or sent as an addendum. If they PEB has not considered all conditions, then submit for a formal PEB. In terms of...

Whats taking so long for providers to start MEB for me?

It sounds like you are falling between the medical and psychiatric cracks - which does unfortunately happen. Your neurologist is most likely focused primarily on your headaches, and your mental health providers on your PTSD, and each may think the other should start a MEB. Also, providers...

Who should I work with: JAG, DAV, VFW?

First of all, you need to work with the JAG assigned to MEB. They are the primary ones who can assist you at this stage. DAV and VFW can be of assistance at the ratings stage, but do not have as much experience or clout at the earlier MEB/PEB stages. From my own experience, and from what I...
