April 29th was my retire date so June 1 I received my full retirement check and mid June I got my retro va and full va waived pay July 1.

August 6th 2019 i received my retro pay. Approval date May 1 of 551 a month i received first payment August 1st and was paid my retro today but it was only 551. Maybe i don't understand the pay schedule but shouldn't i of had retro from the month of May and June?

My guess is September 1st for you mine was early June and I feel like I barely made the cutoff for the month.

Well i was only off $6 due to rounding to 20% so not bad i'd say.

You shouldn't have to do any paperwork for SBP until your VA claim is processed and you actually start getting paid.

Also, if your entire retirement pay gets waived by the VA you need to call DFAS and fill out the paperwork to either have your premium deducted out of your VA pay or pay it youself. It will come out of your retirement pay automatically if you had it set that way. But if your entire retirement...
