Ok, I just had a re-evaluation on my asthma after 17 years. I wonder if it was triggered by my CRSC paperwork. Let me know if you get one too, I find it funny that this has happened after 17 years. Wonder if they are looking for a decrease to save money.

Not really sure. I know in my case the Asthma was the retirement cause. So the Air Force didn't recognize my other VA service connected disability. I was TDRL to PDRL so maybe my case is different than yours.

I submitted mine 8/15/22 and was disapproved 8/29/22. I resubmitted with additional information 8/30/22 and recieved my approval letter on 9/8/22. They have close to a 2 week turn around.

I also ran a myvetrec report, and it showed my deployment dates, along with Uzbekistan as the location. The hazardous/immenant danger pay along with the same dates. So ill be checking my disability codes along with ensuring my documentation clearly fulfills my statement of presumption by location.

So I'm thinking that the VA doesn't have them coded as incurred due to conflict. Ivorytower has messaged me stating I may need to get this changed with the VA before I resubmit.

It stated, I'm paraphrasing. Because you were in a location and incurred your disability does not mean that it was incurred during war, nor that my document stated that I was in the location identified by Gulf War presumptive.
