Has ABC called you yet? They should call you and then the interim payments will start. It was probably 2-3 months before interim payments started for me

Its approx 80% of what your estimated annuity would be, which is 60% of your normal tech pay. Then once they finish calculations they back pay you or withhold depending on what they calculate

That is odd, both my HR and the ABC told me that i would. Mine was disablity, normal disability was denied, and was approved under public law. But that was after, i started getting interim payments not too long after being separated, like 6 weeks. But i wasnt denied til like 3 months after, then...

Fed tech side gets rid of you asap, like i separated feb 2 21, was done fed tech at the end of that pay period, i get burned leave. You should start getting interim payments about 6 weeks after you separate from fed tech. Then yes like 6 month later everything is finalized and you will get...

    Severance pay taxes

I sent them the actual regulation, showing them exactly where it is located, along with all my paper work from the VA and my separation. My base submitted it for me, the cms case person at DFAS had to transfer to another person then it was approved a couple months later. Whoever "they" are that...

    Severance pay timeline

Also remember, you cant get paid for the same thing twice, so if you are recieving a VA disability for something that you are getting a medical retirement for, they will basically take away that VA disability until the severance or retirement is paid back. There is a caveat to that tho, like...

IDES worth it, if already receiving 60% VA compensation?

I know what you are saying, my situation was kinda unique, i was guard and only had 1 legit LOD for being separated, it was a 20% rating for my shoulder, i knew PEB wouldint give me more or less for my rating and since that was the only thing getting separated for it was all pretty much locked...

IDES worth it, if already receiving 60% VA compensation?

    Severance pay timeline

I was discharged on 2 Feb and started recieving payments begining of april, i was very active in pushing my stuff along because my ANG finance was oblivious to the process, then i was very active in getting the taxes back that they took out, because if you have a VA rating for the same condition...
