No, they are supposed to take everything into consideration and make their judgment. You really need to talk to your MSC. They are the ones that finalize your results when you sign them agreeing they are correct. Dispute the inconsistencies til your head is blue!! You have to make it right.
Well, I my re-evaluation results for autoimmune thyroiditis(Hashimoto’s) came today...it was initially 30%. It was changed to hypothyroidism for 100% due to mental disturbances!! Sheesh, I really am fucked up...since 100% is only designated for myxedema symptoms! Also, I already at 100% P&T...
The DoD is deciding your ratings currently. Mine took about 15 days from it closing one/opening new one to getting my ratings. Good luck! The light at the end of the tunnel isn’t just a train barreling at you, anymore!! Yay for being almost done!!
Yuck! Mine took just at 13 months from diagnosis to retirement date. Sorry for such a long trip but it’ll be worth it in the end!
They had to put Cymbalta on my allergy list...got too many side effects and no pain relief. It’s the only med they tried plus Physical Therapy. Nothing helped. Good...
I read it with that conclusion, as well. Pretty much it will start over...sorry. Fingers crossed for 40% if you’re unable to be treated with meds or therapy, like I was. It sucks but at least you’re retired.
My fibromyalgia was rated at 40% by itself...however, my IBS claim was denied due to lack to evidence, even though my PCM and my GI doc both diagnosed it post-colonoscopy/endoscopy...oh well, I still got 100% P&T VA, so I'm not going to fight it. The way the VA rates completely boggles my mind.
I never received a letter at home with my ratings...it was sent to my PEBLO. The letter with the additional condition, however, did come to my house. I signed for my ratings a little over 2 months after it was initially sent to IPEB.
I had the same situation...the MSC had my new conditions paperwork typed up for my exit interview. I declined to add them
Since I’m already at 100% P&T. I didn’t want them reviewing my case and possibly taking away percentages I was initially granted.
