I have a genetic condition that PREDISPOSES me to a type of heart disease that requires a implanted defibrillator. I have since being in the military developed that disease after being misdiagnosed (EKG,Echo, Stress Test, holter monitor) 2 years before I deployed saying it was too many energy drinks. So if i did have a slight palpitation I denoted it to that. I am getting a 100% from the dod and the va.
I wouldnt be upset but they wrote that I had the disease before entering the service and it wasnt combat related even though I had a cardiac workup(EKG, ECHO) before deploying for a flight physical that was NORMAL. I started to have issues that steadily got worse and again I denoted it to stimulating drinks like the doc had said. Then about a year after I returned I was 2 miles into my 12 mile run when I when down 4 times in a row. So I revisited the doctor with an ADNORMAL cardiac workup but this time with a CT scan and an MRI. These of course were needed to establish the disease and only after being diagnosed was the gene found.
I was referred to as a girl. No insult to girls because they are very incredible but with the way things are going lately I wouldnt want to have an appointment set up for a pap-smear.
The verbiage makes it look like it was written by a 3rd grader... This is a panel of adults right?
Should I push as hard as I can to get my condition combat related due to chronological events?
