I was placed on TDRL back in 2010 at Fort Bragg rated at 90% DoD. The VA only rated me 70% so I actually received the retiree pay. Fast forward five years and they call for the re examination, I attend at Ft. Drum and four weeks later the came back 90% PDRL today from my PEBLO. I also submitted my TDRL physical/psych eval from Fort Drum to the VA and after a week they came back with 100%.

My point is not to gloat rather let people know if they have any questions feel free to hit me up. I dont want to put my whole case out there but will gladly help.

Indeed, good deal and congratulations! :)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

thank you, long battle

You are quite welcome; a long battle indeed albeit "perseverance" and being "positively proactive" are definite keys to success while in the DoD IDES and DoD LDES in my opinion for sure! ;)

If you don't mind me asking, which PEB was your paperwork sent to. Mine was sent to the National Region PEB in Arlington, VA. Just trying to get an idea on the timeline for the PEB portion.

Hey thanks yes I have a couple questions. So my MEB completed in March 2022. I was 100% VA 70% DOD TDRL. I had 16 years active w/ 2 deployments. I received a letter last summer after leaving active that I was 100% Permanent from VA. My initial DA 199 says "reassessment in Dec 2022". So it is now April 2023 and I have heard nothing. I haven't moved. I haven't changed anything. Is this normal? I go to all my appointments and take my meds. You said something about a lawyer. Is that something I need at this point? The 70% is important to me. I checked IPERMS and nothing new, but I don't think that if I got a PDRL DA199 it would show up there? Appreciate it.

Similar situation. Just received my 199 but haven't agreed to it yet. I'm 100%VA/70%DOD TDRL, with a re-examination scheduled for December this year also stated on my initial 199. It looks like you had to wait until you separated to find out you were P&T? In our situation, not sure if the proposed VA decision letters would indicate P&T while still on AD? Since on TDRL some have said no to being P&T.

Reach out to your branch to ask when you will have your TDRL exam. This is all on the military side. The VA has no part in it. The military can and will review your VA records and if there is enough documentation there may not need to be an in person exam. However, don't assume they will do their job. If the military fails to review your TDRL condition (s) and put as static you will lose your retirement. The time limit is 3 years for them to do that so at the 12 or 18 month mark be sure to follow up with your military branch.

Hi Provis, I made sure my address, phone number, and email, were all accurate. I will just keep calling them every month. I am at exactly one year out. Thanks for the assistance. I am not waiting until last minute.

I truly am not even sure. I got out and I got a letter about a month later saying I was not going to have to do any more appointments and I checked online and I was 100% P & T. It can be a little confusing, but I think the VA part is essentially done. Now I just make sure to go to all my appointments and stay on top over everything for when I have to do my next DOD exam.
