So my claim is held up at the PEB. I called VA and they told me:
"The proposal was done on 11/16/2016. We are waiting on PEB for review and action."

Does this mean I'm unfit for duty?

When you are ruled unfit it goes straight to the VA for a rating on your conditions. Idk why some peblos don't let the SM's know I would be upset if I didn't get a status on my case and what's happening. I would call my peblo if I was you. It's your case you need to know what's happening

my peblo says I have to wait for my 199. so even though the proposed ratings are complete on the VA side the PEB could say fit for duty?
 
What Branch are you. I'm sorry to say but I'm sorry you got stuck with a crappy peblo that's not informing you on what's going on.
 
What branch are you guys. I'm waiting on my 199, for 38 days now. Got 90% proposed form VA
 
Im in the same boat..the PEB has had my stuff since early november..maybe its because of the system upgrade..who knows..but the system is up now..they need to hurry up! lol oh and Im Army
 
Same boat, 40 days since VA sent it to the PEB with proposed ratings. Does anyone have a idea what steps the PEB is going through once found unfit/proposed ratings from VA? Is it just administrative stuff or does the PEB have the option to deny your unfit/proposed ratings? Furthermore, would it be smart to call the PEB as the member? I am in the USMC.
 
What the number to the PEB i didn't know we could call. Because calling my peblo does nothing.
 
Cobra ive been waiting for 2 weeks after signing my 199, peblo says theres someone else in the same boat as me. Praying i can get on terminal leave before christmas
 
My va ratings were sent to PEB on 14 October and STILL nothing. 56 days and no action by PEB. Finally contacted ombudsmen yesterday to try to help me since my peblo is awful.
 
I'm at 39 days. USMC. Was told 2-3 weeks 3 weeks ago today. Then was told 1-2 weeks a week ago. Originally was told 30-40 days. Well that didn't happen and nothing probably will next week either, just an itch I have because this process is bs.
 
Hang in there Cobra. USMC here. From Peb to official ratings was 52 days roughly. Stick with a thought process of 60 days till official ratings. That might help and make it less annoying. Just kidding. It'll still be annoying but at least it won't be so much of a let down. Good luck!
