The VA has made it easier for veterans to get benefits for certain cancers by adding them to the list of presumptive service-connected conditions. These include acute and chronic leukemias, multiple myelomas, myelodysplastic syndromes, myelofibrosis, and urinary bladder, ureter, and related genitourinary cancers.

The presumptions for urinary and genitourinary cancers started on Jan. 2, 2025, and for the other cancers, they’ll kick in on Jan. 10, 2025.

This is great news!

This is very important information for veterans and their families. Expanding the list of presumptive conditions can help reduce delays and make it easier for eligible veterans to access the benefits and healthcare they have earned. Similar to how people follow pakistani news for important public policy updates, staying informed about VA changes can have a significant impact on those who may qualify for these new presumptions.
