Today I got an email from the Pentagon after I contacted them to see if they could tell me if the Navy made a decision about my case. They told me a decision had been made AND they already sent a letter to my house. The only problem is the address they used was the one I was living at when I applied two years ago which I moved from two months after I applied. I made sure I updated it with them but they still sent it there. I'm not sure what to do now.

They won't tell me anything. They gave me an address to contact the navy at, however does anyone know if there is an easier way to see if I got approved? I'm nervous to be honest. Everyone keeps popping up as denied. Smh.

Anyway... What should I do? Any advice is appreciated.

I am so crossing all my fingers and toes for you!! Email them back and ask for the paperwork to be resent to you. Then contact your Navy Human Resources Command and let them know exactly the situation and ask to speak with the department that handles those files and see if that gets you anywhere. Let me know what happens!!

I definitely will. I'm so nervous!

Sorry Lyria I don't have any advice because I am new to this process but I hope that your problem gets resolved quickly. Praying that they resend the letter to your current address asap. It's crazy how you think that you have crossed all of your t's and dotted your i's by updating your contact info and they still send your letter to an old mailing address. Wishing you the best.

Thank you. I will figure something out.

You can always contact the email at the PDBR and ask they please give you contact info for the Navy that handles the cases and also resend your notification. Should have thought of this sooner!! I've lost my mind!

They gave me a physical address. No email or phone number. I guess I'll have to waste my time mailing a letter to them requesting my paperwork and then wait to see if they comply. This is very taxing when I send a message to them two years ago changing my information.

What month was your case adjudicated? Mine was adjudicated in May. I'm patiently waiting.

My case done in June or July and sent to the Navy. They only take about two months to make a decision I was told and it happened to be exactly right. They sent a letter to me on September 29th which I'm still looking for. That's my problem now. Idk my outcome because I've moved since I applied two years ago. I'm working on it though.

Uggghhh...we feel you. The BCMR can't mail things properly, either. They sent our recommendations to our old address (but, like you, we had updated our address properly)--in fact, they used the correct address on the inside letter but he outdated one on the outside, so they definitely had it and were just careless. This wouldn't be a big deal but when you have recommendations, you are only given 30 days to respond--well, ours arrived and we only had like 7 days left in our 30-day window left to respond, to a very complex case. So, we extended, and now they are saying the 18 month (maximum time allowed to respond) window started over because we chose to administratively close the case. We sent in our application in November 2014, and still haven't heard back. But if you email them (like your circumstance, no phone number to talk to a warm body), they just send a generic autreply. So frustrating and not exactly the "transparent" process we are promised...

If you were Jun-Jul and I was May, AND you already "received" (not really) a letter, THEN mine should be on its way........

Every branch is different. I imagine the army would take longer because there are so many of them. I was navy so it didn't take long. Once it leaves the pdbr, and your branch gets it, it could take a while longer but my hope for you is that it's swift. I hope your address with them is correct. I thought mine was and now I'm stuck searching for a way to find out what my results are. I have no idea if the answer was yes or no, and I've been waiting over two years. Smh.
