AFBCMR - Can you file more than just one at a time?

I have a decoration issue along with an PEB finding issue.

They are both separate issues unrelated to one another.

Can I file two individual AFBCMR requests and have them treated separately? Or will the AFBCMR only handle one request at a time?

I don't want the two issues to be processed together as they are both unrelated to each other and it would take forever.

I do not know how the ABCMR should handle this, but I know there is often confusion when a veteran submits two unrelated petitions. Why not combine the two? You are asking for them to review two issues: (1) decorations, and (2) PEB findings. If you clearly lay out the two distinct issues in your petition, they should be able to decide both. However, if they decide only one, then you resubmit the second.

You make a good point but from my experience and the offices of primary responsibility to which the AFBCMR refers to generate advisory opinions these two issues are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum. One is related to rendering a previous AFBCMR PDRL decision to "combat related" involving medical records, etc. And the other is more of a legal/awards and decorations issue. I feel if I combine the two; it'll really drag out the turn around time. The AFBCMR took 18 months on my PDRL case and that was from a discharge with severance pay scenario and they really looked into it all very deeply. I just feel if I submit two separate requests; they'll be processed separately and faster than if they were combined and having to be routed all around the entire Air Force. Just my .02
