AGR MEB Timeline

That’s ridiculous. I hope they figure it out soon for your sanity.

My case went back to VES for a record review. Must have been selected for QA/QC? Anyone know how long it could take to get back to the VA? My case closed last week but I just got a notice from VES saying I had a review appointment. It says I don’t need to attend anything as it is a review only.

Damn, I was hoping one of us would make it out unscathed haha. Hopefully its just a normal audit type thing and moves fast for you.

Yeah I hope so too. Was getting excited and boom haha. Oh well.

I was able to get the VA to send me my proposed ratings. Looks like combined is 90% proposed.

Just a quick update after calling the VA this morning, that my info is still with VES and hasn't been returned to the VA for finishing my ratings. The counselor recommended I call VES to ask for an update. Called VES and was told that the exams that were requested were for more info on existing exams that were completed back in OCT. The provider who did my initial exams has completed her part addressing the current severity of each condition asked for and it is now sitting in the QA process. Was not told how long that would take though.

Well hopefully not much longer. I just got my 199 today. 80% dod/90% VA. TDRL

Sign it no issues? I’m guessing you will probably push for the 100% once out and appeal the VA side?

Yeah I will sign it as it is what I expected. I have a couple things I forgot to claim during the beginning of this process that should get me close to 100%.

Spoke with the transitions office today. I have an appointment with them tomorrow morning to sign my paperwork and pick up my transition paperwork.

Congrats man! How much longer before you hit terminal leave?

Thanks man. It should be around May 17th

Transition paperwork started. Last day in office is May 4th. Last day in the military is June 25th. Wow it’s getting real.

So finally got an answer on what tied up my ratings since April 2nd and it was a punctuation error on the examiner from VES. The VA sent it back to ask for a rework due to it causing confusion with what was being reviewed on the DBQ because as the VES rep told me the examiner put a forward slash in the wrong place.... Said it was corrected and everything is complete just waiting on someone in their office to send it back to VA.

Well hopefully the process speeds back up for you and they get it completed soon.

Hope so man, so on your end did you have to go through TAPS and all that since you are AGR?

Yeah I have to go through the Ft Riley transition office and do all the briefs and such. They cut my orders and then I send them to the state with my discharge packet. While the big Army does my orders and DD 214, the state will actually process my discharge packet. If that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense to me. Always cool to learn different processes as NC does it one of two ways they handle everything or they dump it on Ft. Bragg to handle haha. Our state usually handles the 214 and NGB-22 and orders.

That makes sense. I suppose either way works as long as they get it right. Haha

Received my orders and 214 today. I start terminal leave on the 5th of May. All in all the process wasn't terrible and went about how I'd expect. I do wish my PEBLO was more communicative, as well as, my MSC, but overall they did a good job and it went rather quickly.
