I’m coming up on my 18 month eval but from what I’ve seen it doesn’t seem extremely prevalent, and I mean bipolar is permanent and proven to worsen over time so it’s kind of hard to justify a reduction. Just continue to seek treatment and have everything well documented after retirement. Also continue to look at what justifies a 70% rating, I was also given 70% (for BP1) and haven’t worked more than part time in a low paying job so if you get out and are pulling in $100k/yr working full time you’ll kind of be shooting yourself in the foot. I also elected a face to face eval at my nearest MTF instead of just sending in my records or having my psychiatrist do it so hopefully that will minimize any confusion by the board. If all else fails and you are still reduced you can go through the appeal process and provide evidence from your treating provider, employer, family, friends etc.Final results: 70/90 TDLR after VARR
Any advice for TDLR? I’ve heard that the AF knocks most people’s ratings down even if they are still doing poorly. Anyone with experience in this?
