I may be in the wrong chat area. I do not have a fax machine, but I can fax to email or emain large files from desk top.

Does anyone know any email addresses I can fax files from my desktop.

When I fax to AHRC I can only do ten pages at a time.

I have 74 pages. I know go to a service and fax it.

But easy should be the way.
Thank you

I mailed it in because for some reason they said they couldn't receive it via email. The attachment wouldn't go through. So that is an option too.

Right, thats what I"ll just do. How complete was your packet? I mean if presumptive, just DD214, DA199, VA Rating schedule, Retirement orders, anything else?

Is your complete? If so did it take six months?

Hello,

My old application included disabilities considered presumptively caused by exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam.

I submitted the DD 2860 AND
—A cover letter
—copies of DD 214
—copy of retirement orders
—Copies of the VA award letters (had been received in mail) that included discussion about the approved disabilities
—copy of DA 2-1, personnel record with assignments etc. (this is not listed as a requirement )
—I had a regular retirement so no DA 199.

I used the U.S. mail.

Time immaterial since this occurred during the early period of CRSC.

O appreciate the information. I was thinking to include an ERB. DA 2-1. May I ask didn't the DD214 Show assignments? I hope you were approved and if so eta on a timevframe? Is back pay real? I mean dated to the day 2022 Pact Act signed? I bet the military side hates the amount its costing to finally give that which was wrongfully taken by The VA for so many. Every American I talk to thinks that disabled vets get their retirement. They are shocked to learn disabled vets under twenty years are penalized for getting injured or Disabled. I hope the Major Richard Star act doesn't die in congress like all similar bills before!

Hello,

I retired (regular) 33 years ago. My final DD 214 did not show each assignment, only years and months overseas.
I had 4-5 214s and at least one showed my time spent in Vietnam.

Yes, I received retro pay (retro CRSC).

The value of my recent post is limited. I posted primarily to show what I submitted.

Good luck ,

Ron

Edited to add: “bet the military side hates the amount it’s costing to finally give that which was wrongfully taken by The VA for so many”. Neither the VA or the DoD benefited from the waiver of retired pay. Furthermore, the practice of waiving retired pay had its beginnings in a circa 1891 (1891 !) law. Later, the CRDP and CRSC laws were crafted and passed by your lawmakers. They were the ones who factored in the limits to save money.

Related to preceding post:

1890 and 1891, when Congress was addressing disability pensions for
veterans of the Mexican War, they became concerned that some veterans drew more
than one pension, or a pension plus retired pay under the comparatively new
retirement program, and even a pension plus active duty pay.

It was discovered that,
not only had some retired military personnel been receiving both retired pay and a
disability pension, but also that some personnel on active duty were drawing their
active duty pay plus a pension based on a disability from the Mexican War of 1846-
1848.

Therefore, in 1891 Congress prohibited the payment of what it regarded to be
"dual compensation" for either past or current service and a disability pension. The
FY 1892 appropriations legislation for veterans' benefits included the first prohibition
of concurrent receipt. It said:
1 McCarty v. McCarty, 453 U.S. 210, 212-13 (1981).

Times have slowed down. It took only 3 months for my wife's CRSC packet but it was sent in December 2022. All her conditions were presumptive so she included her VA award letters for all presumptive conditions and all of her DD214's. They highlighted her deployment on the DD214's. She included her PEB material too. It was pretty much just the information they gave on the application so included that and 1 page for each condition on the application. Super easy for presumptive conditions.

I hooe I got lucky. I was putting together a more complete packet to include mu DA199. I checked my email, and they said they received. I shall hold onto this packet. I hope my DD 214, and VA rating, are enough... what am I saying... I am sure to get denied

Hello,

Many who receive CRSC did not submit a DA 199 since they did not receive a disability retirement (i.e.,had regular ret).

It is likely helpful in a CH 61 case.
