Awaiting decision

My case started at Andrews AFB as well. The VA received my package March 31, 2016 and I am still waiting on a decision. :( I really did not think it would take this long. I'll keep you posted....

I met with my PEBLO last year in Nov 2016, CnP in Jan 2016, commanders letter had to be re-done, addendum took 5 weeks because of poor communication.

Update: I'm awaiting my VA and DOD rating hoping to hear any day. I had a new ides claim opened 11April and closed 29 April. Hopefully that means I will hear back from my Peblo with my ratings soon.

Did your PEBLO let you know your fit/unfit? I have a IDES claim that opened march 31 that says preparation for decision and my original claim just changed to preparation for decision last week. When I asked my PEBLO two weeks ago, she said my fit/unfit was not adjudicated yet. I really don't know what that means.

I was not informed but from what I have read once the VA opens a second claim with the IDES as the claim you have been found unfit. It takes 15 business days from the day the claim was opened to move to the historical claim area and them to send the rating back. I believe. So if anything you should be right about the same time frame as me. We should stay in contact as we should be hearing about our decisions about the same time. And if we don't the other can contact providence, or AFPC.

My peblo told me they don't hear until it's all completed. On the decision of fit or unfit and the ratings.

That's good to know! I have over 20 claims so I'm not surprise that its taking so long, I just wish the communication was better. I just don't like being in the dark. I only have one claim for the PEB. My other claim just moved to preparation for decision, so I assume I have another 15 days from that day. I'm going to contact my PEBLO today and let you know what she say!

Sounds good I asked mine a lot of question I only have my one claim on migraines to the IPEB for fit or unfit. However I do have more claims on my VA claim. I will also do additional claims once I'm separated. I do believe the number of claims slows process because I only had like 8.

If it's been longer then 15 business days since Rhett IDES claim opened try calling the VA. Ask peblo if they have a contract for the va.

Try asking how long your peblo cases usual timelines are that might be able to give you a better estimate.

Was called today informed ratings came in this after noon will find out the results tomorrow morning.

Ratings are in 50% DOD 80%VA accepted request date of separation 27 July we will see now the eagle for orders

Congrats on the ratings.

I am going through my MEB at Andrews as well. My timeline is about the same as yours. I met with my PEBLO mid Feb had all my C&Ps which were from end of Feb through to Mid April (15 claims 2 possibly 3 MEB). I hadn't heard anything from my PEBLO so I emailed her last week to ask for updates. She told me she requested an addendum for 2 conditions on 28 April when she received my VA results but that was it. What is an addendum for? Why is that necessary? Does that mean this is going to take EVEN LONGER???

That's great @NDoyle I haven't heard anything yet, but like I said I'm sure it is because I have like 23 conditions to rate on lol! Those are the other conditions than my unfit one. I did talk to the OAC just now and he said that my 356 does say unfit and that the PEB sent it to the VA on the 31st of March so I should be getting results soon.....I hope....

The addendum is just your provider verifying that nothing has changed since the writing of your NARSUM and if anything needs to be added to UNFIT list that is the time it would be added. Otherwise it should just state there is nothing to be added.

@DangMD443 I hope you find out soon. Just don't stress it to much and make sure you do your research on your condition so you know what you should be rated. I'm sure you will be hearing any time now. Remember its 15 business day not calendar days.

@NDoyle You wouldn't believe that I just got a call today saying that my results were completed by the VA but the MSC wouldn't tell me what they were. I guess they have to wait on what the PEB decided before telling me. I am so glad she called me, it eased my mind tremendously, this whole process is very stressful!

Do you have any insigh for how long it takes to get a separation message? Going on 21 days now!
