After an aortic valve replacement and aortic aneurysm repair followed by a stroke, while on Title 10 orders, I was granted an LOD and recommended for medical retirement. The NGB signed off my package and it was sent to the Air Force in May. As of now I have not heard a thing. I have not been contacted by a PEBLO and my Med Group cannot provide me any answers. Can anyone explain to me if this is normal for an MEB? Should I have heard something by now? What should I expect going forward. This is stressful because I am also a Title 32 technician and will lose my full-time position. I would like to at least know a timeframe so I can start planning the next chapter of my life.

Everything takes longer than it should. My only advice is to not make plans until you have retirement orders. Also, if you lose your tech job then you can apply for FERS disability. You should be looking for and hiring a private FERS disability attorney to assist you on the mil tech side.
