Any Idea?

Case was sent to PEB location 19 May 2011. PEBLO stated that it should be done within 2 months. AKO says it's still awaiting PEB findings. I've been in this process almost 2 years. Any Idea how much longer this will actually take?

From what I have seen it depends on the location of your PEB...I know mine only took 5 months from notification of MEB to signing my DA199...but that seems to be an exception rather than the rule.
 
My stuff is going through Ft. Lewis, too.

Turned in my MEB appeal 28 June.

Spoke with PRBLO and they said probaly hear back this week.

She told me that the next phase is the PEB part and that is taking 2 months.

So you are getting very close to getting an answer back.
 
3 months later, I finally get a letter from the Seattle VA telling me to send more info or they will decide in 30 days. WTF.

Here's my timeline so far.

My packet just got sent forward to the PEB.

Ft. Lewis Peblo said 2-3 months.

I have alot of issues to rate by the VA. Army will need only four issues rated - VA is another 6 or so. Around 10 issues total - +/- a few.

SEP/OCT - 2010 FT. LEWIS/VA via QTC subcontractor med/psych appts

JAN 2011 - Face-to-face meeting with FT. LEWIS P.A. – the NARSUM writer

APR 2011 - NARSUM/PACKET completed by P.A. – sent forward for review

MAY 2011 - NARSUM reviewed by DCCS - higher up than the P.A. who wrote it

JUN 2011 - NARSUM Packet rec'd by PEBLO – MEB packet FED EXed to SM

JUN 2011 - NARSUM Packet rec’d by SM. SM DISAGREES with NARSUM

JUN 2011 - SM requests Independent Medical Review (IPR)

JUN 2011 - IMR (IPR) ALLOWS NARSUM to stand as written with only MINOR corrections.

28 JUN 2011 - SM’s LEGAL counsel files APPEAL for inclusion in MEB packet

01 JUL 2011 – NARSUM/MEB APPEAL packet sent from PEBLO to MEB

19 JUL 2011 - MEB APPEAL results – DENIED –

03 AUG 2011 – MEB RESULTS SENT TO PEBLO /REC’D BY SOLDIER

04 AUG 2011 – MEB PACKET SENT TO PEB

2-3 months from now - maybe get something back.

Thank God I have an attorney - fighting tooth and toenail with these people.

Packet was sent to PEB on 19 May. NARSUM was completed almost a year ago. I'm ANG so no WTU. I did all the QTC appointments in Tacoma in early 2010. I recieved the letter from the VA through USPS dated 4 AUG, same exact letter they sent me last year for the same things. I was rated 60% through the VA before I even started this process. All the medical evidence was done by the ARMY, VA, and QTC over the last 5 years. The only thing additional I could give them is a statement from my wife, and my former PSG(who has almost the exact same injuries as myself, from the exact same event, and is 100%).
 
Now at 80%(VA) as of 25 AUG, got the VA letter today, but I doubt I'll here from the PEBLO for another 2 months.

Sure am glad to read you FINALLY got a letter!

Hopefully, you hear from the PEBLO in a week or two.....

I would think the VA sends them the results, too.

So if the Peblo folks aren't on summer vacation - maybe soon you will hear from them.

Finaly got the call from the PEBLO. 80% VA, 50% PDR. Better than I expected, but I'm not sure if I should be happy. Still gotta wait for it to go through PDA HQ.

Like, what you got for each injury?

And, do you think the Army gave you a fair and square deal?

Retirement Orders came in, effective 22 Nov. But, I'm not done yet. DFAS is starting my retirement pay at the end of DEC, non-taxable. The shitty part is, I can't keep it. And the VA will take it back at some point. So, I need to waive it. So, what do I do? Call DFAS and tell them hold the pay? Shouldn't they have sent me something other than a pay statment and a beneficiary form? WTF? The light at the end of the tunnel, I now get to send the Total Army Personnel Command everything in my PEB/VA decision packet, DD214's/215's once I waive my retirement pay. Shouldn't they already have this?
 
50% is for one specific thing, and then I have 8 others rated at 10% each. Im rated 80% through the VA(was at 60% before the PEB), but the Army only recognizes the one at 50% being unfit for duty. I was permenantly retired at 50% because I had been recieving treatment since 2005, no TDRL. Could of turned out a little better, but it was fair enough for me to sign it. The only complaint was the wait. I started all this in January of 2009, so approaching 2 years is unacceptable to me. But 2 years chillin and waiting at home has to be better than in some f'd up WTU at FT Lewis or FT Carson.
