Hello,

Officially been out a year. Separated through MEB (Navy) 10% DOD, but 90% VA. Long story short: my condition was rated at 10 and i was separated, got my severance, etc. Applied for a re-evaluation and my condition was rated 60 as of December. I know it's a long shot, but i want to try to get my retirement benefits. I have the documents for my BCNR request, but the verbiage i am struggling with. Can someone send me their wording for requesting their retirement back on the grounds that the VA messed up? If possible: how long did it take you? What hoops did you have to jump through? Any advice or words of wisdom? Thank you!

Somethings along these line.

Was medically seperated due to VA rating of 10% for the unfitting condition. VA reassessed their rating and increased the 10% rating to 60%. Date of separation was _____. Date of reassessment exam by VA was ______________. Date of revisted award was ____________.
