I have a job offer with no start date yet (pending background check and finger prints). Do i need a projected start date to expedite my process?

It would help justify your expedite request, but it might not be required. You should consult your PEBLO on what is required and how you should proceed. Is there any way your potential employer can give you a conditional hiring letter with a tentative start date?
My expedite memo is based on an assumption of employment and tentative start date. I'm still in the background check process and am getting my finger prints tomorrow. I still have to pass the company's medical exam also.
I asked him if I were to get a college acceptance letter if that would work (I've seen other people do something similar) and he said it wouldn't expedite my process for school. I sent him the acceptance letter from USPS and because it doesn't have a specific start date he said it wouldn't work either. Based on your response I'm in the same boat. I did everything else just waiting to schedule my finger prints & I have a security clearance so I think that parts covered.
