Army pay time line after terminal leave

Trying to get a better idea of what to expect for all the misc pay following ETS/Terminal Leave. I'm starting with family till everything is settled and everything is finalized/VA payments kick in.
I will be retired as of 15 May at 40/70 PDRL.

Based off of what I can gather, I'm fairly confident that the following pay will take effect on these dates:

15 May - ETS
01 Jul - DOD Retirement Pay
01 Aug - VA Pay

The 2 pays I'm owed are:

Army final pay (01 to 15 May pay that was held, sold leave, BAH during terminal leave, clothing allowance etc)

Travel Pay (submitted to DFAS, held till ETS)

What are the turn around times for the final pay and travel? Are they seperate or handled together? How long did you have to wait?

I cleared post without anything owed, no statement of charges, want signed for anything etc etc if it helps.

I had a very similar timeline. Army, final out May 7. Final pay May 15th, (covered the first to the 7th). VA C&P, finalized in June, first payment on July 31st, covered May and June.

No clothing allowance owed, it was payed each year of my deployment on my anniversary date.

I mailed off my final travel voucher once my DD-214 was active (after terminal leave). It took about 30 days to get paid.

The final travel voucher only covered my taxi to airport and per-diem for flight home.

I thought that I was eligible for retirement pay for the remainder of the month in May (7th-31st) however DFAS balked and I chose not to pursue it any further. I am pretty confident that I should have been eligible since my VA benefits did not begin until the first of the following month.

@gsfowler what was your official retirement date from the Army? (I was a Financial Management Analyst 36B)
