Just read through this, sorry if my other response is redundant or not helpful. If you feel something needs to be re-evaluated though, make sure you appeal with evidence before you receive DA199

PEBLO tells me that the PEB has not uploaded the rating results yet. I am being told that the time for the PEB to upload ratings, review, and type up disposition (DA 199) is about two weeks.

Your timeline is very similar to mine. I was submitted to PEB on 09MAR23. Found unfit then sent to VA for ratings on 28MAR23. I am currently in the "Decision Phase" awaiting ratings from the VA. Where on the VA site did you see it listed as closed? I can't see anything on the VA site for claims at all.

The way that I do it is by doing a Google Search for "check my VA claim" and then when I log into the site, it takes me right to the claim status screens. When I log in, I scroll down a bit to a section that is titled, "Your claims or appeals" What I have read and seen from others on this site, is that if this is your first claim and it is going through the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process, you may not see anything in the portal as an active claim. I have had previsou claims, and it seems as though the information was forthcoming through that original claim, rather than being a new one.

I think that the best thing you could do is to call the VA at 800-827-1000, I have had good success with talking with a representative who can see some of the status of the IDES processes, as it seems that they take a bit of a different route than a "regular" claim. For example, when I called about 1.5 weeks ago, the representative was able to tell me that there has been a lot of work and movement on my claim, which I could not see reflected in the portal, and she encouraged me to call back in about a week. She was spot on, and about 7-8 days after that call, I was able to see that my claim was closed on the portal.

@drewskie12USN I hope that helps. Good luck!

27 APR 23 - Inquired to PEBLO about the VA ratings getting to the PEB. Ratings were received, but they did not address all of the specific items / unfit conditions as some were combined with what are seen as "fit" conditions, and one item not specifically addressed. I am told that the PEB will likely contact the VA for a revised rating, and that this will take, "a coupled of weeks." Not particularly good news, just hoping to wrap this up, and it keep getting dragged out. Frustrating.

10 MAY 23 - After inquiring, PEBLO has informed me that the PEB sent a request for "corrected" ratings to the VA. "Hoping" to hear a response withing a "week or so." Not sure what this means, but continues to add to the administrative time to get to the DA 199.

I have been communicating with PEBLO and the associated team via email weekly. I was recently told that the PEB process is still taking 9-12 weeks from the receipt of VA ratings. I am not sure of the exact reason(s) for this, but was an additional jab to the ribs that I was not expecting.

If you already have a condition rated by the VA and you are being med boarded for that same condition, will the VA just submit the files and c&p findings or will they start a whole new claim?

Depends on how old the c&p exam is. They took my findings because they were less than 1 year old. Else, they would have had me re-examined

My c&p exam for the condition I submitted to the VA is in 2 weeks. I just recieved my P3 profile 2 days ago. Do you have any knowledge regarding what happems during a ND-PEB?

Yeah I had to go through the ND-PEB or IPEB, then FPEB, they appealed to army hrc and now I’m going through the medboard and at the PEB process again

13 JUN 23 - DA 199 has been in "writing phase" for over two weeks

TBD - Receive DA 199

TBD - Next steps

Anyone have experience with the timing of the finalization of the DA 199? My process seems to be extraordinarily long based upon others' experiences. The PEBLO keeps saying that things will take a "few more weeks." Any actions that I can take to move this along?

TBD - 2-3 weeks to publish retirement orders

I received my DA 199 today, 80% DoD and 100% VA. I concur with the results, and do not have any issue with the determination.

I am hopeful that the rest of the process will go smooth, I have had a couple of unanticipated disruptions so far.
