Asthma and "high dose" corticosteroids definition

Not sure if this helps but from what I gathered, daily system "high-dose" steroids refers to medications like prednisone. Prednisone affects your whole body and has some terrible side effects if taken long term (hence the 100% rating). Inhaled corticosteroids are different and I believe are not referred to in the context of "high-dose" for the 100% rating. I've read through numerous VA appeal cases and in 100% of them, daily systemic high dose corticosteroids referred to prednisone or a like medication. In regard to high dose, some people are on 20mg, others are on 50-60mg. There was no clear pictured on painted on what meets the criteria for high dose in terms of dosage but 20mg seemed to be the lowest that I have seen where 100% was warranted. Hope this helps.
