Hey All!

I was recently diagnosed with severe insomnia w/ moderate periodic leg movement syndrome and prescribed a benzo to help me sleep. I am on a pretty limiting profile until Jan. I had a conversation with the sleep doc who stated I would be referred to MEB in Feb if my condition doesn't improve. I also pretty limiting anxiety. I fake it while at work-but life is getting pretty hard.

My logic, and this may be off, is that insomnia doesn't just magically go away over night and this will take longer than Feb to "heal". I am currently being referred to a neuro physch have a plethora of appointments with the sleep clinic, and to top it all off, I've also been referred to gastro for an unknown issue that may be effecting my liver. This is all competing with the work I do on a brigade staff and I was going to ask about admittance into WTB but was unsure what to do. The packet is pretty straightforward, and my COC is supportive, but the vibe I get is once it hits the Triad acceptance is 50/50.

Honestly, I could really use a hand. I'm basically being thrown meds without any therapy and expected to use breathing techniques and sleep hygine to heal this issue. While that may help, I feel this isnt the only solution. I've asked specifically for CBT-I to help but my brigade BH inst trained and I received the run around when I asked for further diagnostic testing to rule out any other aliment I may be experiencing.

Any advice? Ive invested 10 years of my life to this service and just reenlisted for 6 more. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
