I was awarded crsc on informal appeal for TBI. I'm chapter 61. And awaiting DAV reconsideration, should get 100% VA. Also PEBLO said today the recons have been put on hold for now. But if I have this right I will get my VA plus what the CRSC amount is also.
I have two other conditions also that are being recons. My initial came to 90% VA and 70% DOD. And the low balled me. But my JAG said I'm gold cause I got med recs to raise them and the C&P contradicts the determination to my benefit.
I'm trackin y'all, it's hard these day to explain myself effectively a lot of the time. I was awarded the decision on an appeal of my 199 for my TBI to be designated combat related due to an instrumentality of war, to clarify. Long story short, had grand mal seizure, put an up armored hmmwv in an oak tree, head smacked the left door frame and back messing me up bad.
My VA is in reconsideration and will get me 100%. I am chapter 61. 17yrs in 13 of that AFS.
What deos this mean for me when I hang up the boots for good when I get that reconsideration back? Not Money wise, not how much but how I get it. Already been getting SSDI and scaadl.
Will I get the VA 100% + the CRSC amount for the TBI?
Got a family of 6 and uncontrolled epilepsy, tryin to think ahead and be my own advocate as much as possible.
And me PEBLO just said the VA put reconsiderations on hold until who knows when. Y'all heard anything about this?
Been Savin cash like a mofo. And we are getting ready to put in for TSGLI due to ADL's from TBI. Any advise on the TSGLI would rock.
Welcome to the PEB Forum!
Hmm, what's your military status while in the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process (e.g., active, reserve, guard)?
Are you currently receiving SCAADL while on active duty in the U.S. military? If so, please ensure to contact your local/nearest VAMC to start the process for transfer to the DoVA Caregiver Support Program at least
one month
PRIOR to your official military disability retirement from active duty.
In reference to your TSGLI inquiry, please reference the URL for additional detailed information as follows:

Basically, "If a Soldier incurs more than one traumatic injury from the same traumatic event, payment will be made for the injury with the highest benefit amount. Payment for multiple traumatic injuries from a single event cannot exceed $100,000.
However, if a Soldier incurs traumatic injuries from two or more separate traumatic events occurring at least seven days apart, multiple payments that total more than $100,000 may be made, although no single payment will exceed $100,000."
With that all said, please take care and get well while enjoying your forthcoming military disability retirement benefits!
Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
Best Wishes!
