Apparently one of the civilians I always saw walking intrepidly around one of our more dangerous COPs in Iraq was putting together a documentary on one of the infantry companies in my old unit (3-3ID). Baker Company, 1st Battalion 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division is the subject of the documentary.
I always figured he was some Blackwater-affiliated character or former SF civilian advising the leaders of that AO...turns out he was a cameraman. This documentary is from OIF V popularly known as 'the Surge'.
It is airing on HDNET (DirecTV has this channel where I'm located) Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. After watching the trailers (available at http://bakerboysmovie.com/) it seems like it shows a pretty in-depth look at what Soldiers deal with on a day-to-day basis after encountering numerous combat situations.
If anyone is extremely interested by this, there is also a Facebook fan page.
