I am a gulf war veteran ,who has had joint pain since the gulf war. I am 38 now but ten years ago i had my right hip replaced do the advanced degeneration.I am holding off a little longer on having the left side done.I went to the va when i got out ,but got fed up and stopped going .Recently i went back with letters from my docters and started the process over. I have a c and p exam for this and ptsd coming up. i would be interested in seeing if there are other gulf war vets with chronic arthritis .

Eric, I do have chronic arthritis and am a gulf war vet. However, I was not on the ground. I was on a ship. In August 1990, we transited into the Red Sea and participated in Desert Shield. We (the ships crew) were given an Anthrax shot en-route. I am a registered Gulf War Syndrome vet and would like any information that you get. Please keep me informed and I will do the same. I am trying to find other Navy sailors who are having the same joint problems and may have had that early Anthrax shot.

Hmm, I've had a multitude of fun shots (4 anthrax shots , small pox etc...) from my deployment to Iraq (although they were 15 years further along in testing); No offense and I'm sorry for your disabilites, but I hope this isn't a glimpsie into my future. I already have arhtritis in my back and a slightly bulging disc at 28.

Ericmoyher,
I hope you get the treatment you deserve and need and that your hip replacement, whenever it is, goes well.
