Bliss Timeline

It took my packet 111 days to be completed by the VA. Things run slow unfortunately. And with the PEB all consolidated at Fort Sam Houston that process isn't going much faster either. Ive been waiting for almost a month to hear back from the PEB. But definitely continue to reach out to others to try and have your process move faster.

So VA closed my claim my Msc was able to tell me my ratings and said that my Peblo should have called by now if not he should be calling in a couple days, called my Peblo and was told my ratings are in but the DA 199 was not in, when I asked how long that takes I was told in so many words when the PEB completes it. So who knows how long that will take hopefully I should have an idea sometime soon.

This is what I’m talking about. My claim was submitted 6 weeks before yours. Not mad at you or anything but how does that make sense? I spoke with Mr Jackson and he called the PEB which called the VA. Apparently my claim will be complete this Friday and then “front loaded” at the PEB. We shall see.

Everyone’s time line is different. People get diagnosed with other things. Some people have shorter or longer timelines. Different people are working on different things on the other side. There are so many factors. Keep your head up it’ll be over soon. You’ll drive yourself crazy by getting frustrated with things you have no control over. I understand you want an estimate on your timeline but always remember every case is different from the next.

I have told many people that same thing. Every other Army timeline posted on this forum has surpassed mine by far. Kicker is no one at the VA has even touched my file since 31DEC.

I hope things pick for because I just don’t understand why either but according to my Peblo it could take months to get my 199 so I’m not sure of how much longer I have exact words were could be March,April,May, June. Just seems like there could be better ways to do this stuff to make things move smoother.

Question. I have been in the meb process for months now and got the unfit memo back already. I see a lot of people talking about checking the va.gov website. Where are you exactly looking? When I go on there it says I have no claims submitted. However my ebenifits says it’s in preparation for decision. Thanks for the help.

That’s weird when you log in and click disabilities and redirects you to VA.gov it does not show that you have claims? I will say from My msc told me when I talked to them when my claim closed but showed no rating they said it won’t get that until number until you get your 199, don’t quote me this process has me so confused and I get very little information. So maybe reach out to your Msc or Peblo. Again sorry I could really help you.

When I check ebenefits and click disabilities I stay on ebenefits. When I check claim status on va.gov it says I have no claims pending.

Welp, MSC called me after nagging him for a few days and said my ratings finished last night. 30% (lawyer estimated 10%) DOD and 90% (lawyer estimated 80%) VA. Shortly after, Mr. Jackson from IDES called me and said the PEB should have my ratings back and my 199 will be complete this week.

Since my unfit condition was 30% does that mean I am PDRL?

Tdrl is likely but I’m not sure of your conditions. Tdrl is more frequent but the military always assume people will get better over time which is not always the case. Once you are tdrl for 3 years I believe they turn to pdrl.

I am at 40+ days waiting for my VA ratings and it has been at "Preparation for Decision" for 10 days. I call ed the VA and they said the earliest it would be done by was June?? Should i call my MSC or PEBLO to see what is going on?

Unfortunately there really isn’t much that can be done. That being said the VA estimate of June may be off because of the fact that you are going through the IDES process. I had to wait 111 days for my ratings, which is definitely out of the norm but it happens. I usually ended up emailing my PEBLO once every two weeks to see if she had any new info. Your MSC might be able to get you a better answer as to where exactly it is in the process and even potentially have it be pushed up some if they have enough leeway in the VA.
Good luck though! Waiting for ratings is easily the worst part but you’ll get through it!

I want to say that it is 5 years unless your condition becomes “stable” in which then the decision is made. I was shocked though that I got pdrl with a shoulder injury that needs surgery to repair and plantar fasciitis. So at this point who knows what anyone could get.

40 days is not too bad. I waited 85 days and @A_Cio waited 111. You can call your MSC and have them dig around the VA system and see if anything is going on. When you call the 1800 VA number you can submit an inquiry once a month about your case. PEBLO is going to be almost no help and they cover the service branch of things.

Thanks A_Cio and Jimothy84, i'm probably going to give it another week and then call my MSC to see if they can help. I think i got my hopes up that it was going to go really quick with only a 10 day wait to get my C&P exams after referral and MEB completing 8 days less than goal...... Guess they are now making up for those parts going quickly, ha

Got my 199 today. 90% VA and 0% DOD. The VA rated my orchiectomy at 30% with a caveat that since my testicle had been removed that the DOD could rate it at 0%, which they did. I will be able to bump my VA to 100% easily as I have to add CPAP, TBI, and some others.

TRANSPOC as of today with a NLT date of 9JUN.

I have been waiting a month for my unfit memo. Is that normal? Is there anything I can do this is getting ridiculous
