Bremerton Timeline

Trust me i feel you when you talk about anxiety. I fucked up my c and p exam entirely and im bordering on just MAYBE getting above 30 and cannot bare to go through formal PEB id rather fucking die seriously
Im sorry to hear that. It is a very nerve wrecking process so i can understand. Did u submit a buddy letter or a letter from u explaining ur side of things. U can also submit a memo explaining issues with the exams.

Lol this may not be the professional way to do it but reach out to everyone at ides asking that same question. As for me i told my ides attorney i HEARD i got found unfit by another attorney because he did tell me he though id be found unfit by now and he was the one to confirm. They specifically told me they want to completely stop informing of when people get anything back before the FINAL results because it “causes stress on the patient”
Im more stressed not knowing then knowing. Maybe thats just me.

Id rather know its six months from now than keep hoping “maybe this week” every week for four months
Yeah everyone is different. I think maybe just updating on the stages for me would be helpful. Like what stage im in.

Latest update:
VA proposal letter date 22 JAN
06 FEB case enters "Post VA QA"
06 MAR called PEB, told 4 more weeks (this means literally nothing as we have found out)

Definitely getting very impatient. Just ready to move on to a better life. Also, as a thought, it is absurd that it takes the Navy 2+ months to transcribe ratings from one sheet (VA) to another(DoD).

Wait your PEBLO called you? I called the PEB and they told me they sent me results - haven't heard from the PEBLO yet lmao

Yes she did, just 5 minutes ago. Heading to sign them now! I would be calling my PEBLO!

Are you retiring or separating? I'm still waiting on my stuff lol
Retirement, TDRL only because by law they have to re-evaluate PTSD. However, I have other unfitting conditions rated over 30% that were deemed static so I will surely be placed on the PDRL afer re-assessment. Really makes no difference as I wont be getting any DoD retirement pay anyway!

Congratulations! I went post va on February 12. My time is soon!

Alright, so now is the time we all need to start lobbying our congressional reps to PASS THE RICHARD STAR ACT! Then I can just retire, let me live in peace up in my mountain cabin! No kids to yell at to get off my lawn out there in the middle of nowhere!

May not get pension but CRSC is the same thing essentially as it's tax free if you got that CR/CZ code or can prove combat association. Unfortunately from what I'm told it's a 6-12 month backlog so that's my next waiting game.

Remember that CRSC doesn't necessarily mean combat related. It is a very broad interpretation to include happening during training for war, simulating war, caused by an instrumentality of war (ship, humvee tank). I think I have a case because my major symptoms did not start until I was put aboard an aircraft carrier (instrumentality of war) and also started during Operation Northern Edge, a war simulation exercise.

Either way, I will be applying for it. Let the Navy tell you no, dont stop yourself!

Eh for DFAS and each service's perspective I guess they're grouping all of those as Combat Related by their definition, so sure, send it up and force a no.

Kinda like what they're doing with the Richard Star Act facade. Everyone's co-signing and protesting and advocating for this change but it has to make it past appropriations which is where it's gotten stuck before. Everyone agrees it should be a thing, but it costs money and not to get political but we're throwing it around overseas and on more carriers and jets and blah blah sooooo yeah, let's go appropriations committee!!

if it were to pass what exactly does that mean? My D0D is 40% my VA is 100%, my full retirement is $1555 but I only get $590 due to some weird voodoo math and cause i didn't serve 20 years. I do get the full 100% VA. If it passes would that mean I would get the FULL DOD at $1555??

The math is pretty easy for the current cap. For total compensation you can't get more than the combination of your earned longevity + VA compensation. CRSC is a mechanism to provide relief for those who lost some or all of their earned longevity pension due to the VA offset.
