That's insane that that is taking so long, best of luck to you!Sept 2023 - Referred to AMRO board.
Dec 8th - Initial RILO Notification.
April 2024 - STILL WAITING ON NARSUM.
*I get the MEB is a very fortunate circumstance to be in benefits wise but damn, my PCM has 7 other NARSUMs to write before mine and my EAS is September smh. Love NM the land of entrapment.
Hi MrsG,My answer to everything is the Patient Advocate lol. I went and she also happened to be a PEBLO. She had a meeting with my PCM and my NARSUM was complete in a few days.
As you can already tell, your timeline is not normal. For reference, my initial IRILO notification was December 21, 2023. I have my last VA exam next week and I expect to have orders in June or July.
I'm not a Cannon but another small base that is quite similar.Hi MrsG,
You here at CAFB as well? And yea I have been in pretty frequent touch with the PEBLO with little luck at pushing that date up.
I'm so sorry this has been the case for you. Since you are likely going through a MEB, you are eligible for Air Force Wounded Warrior. My Recovery Care Coordinator has been instrumental in pushing my timeline along. This has included speaking to my PCM. Here is the link to the AFW2 Referral. You can refer yourself.Update, PCM has 2 more NARSUM to write! Crazy that I’ve been waiting since November 2023 to get this close. Was supposed to separate in September but I don’t see that happening unless I’m cleared for duty..
Unfortunately the most beneficial route me and my family is to let the MEB take it's course and hope for the best outcome. A.K.A <30% DOD, 100% VAI'm so sorry this has been the case for you. I understand if you would rather separate in September versus wait an extra 6 months for a MEB. Make that clear with your PCM if you haven't already. Same for the Commander Impact Statement (CIS).
I agree! Expect to be starting C&P exams within a month or less. Start looking at the DBQs for your referred condition(s) since those are what get you to retirement. It's crazy to think I have been waiting since December to just to get to this stage... Hopefully its all smooth rolling from here!
