camp pendleton ides!

nope, they only looked at 4 or 5 and they were all cat 2 except the pelvic pain which isn't able to be rated. either way im just ready to go.

Did you have an attorney look at your stuff before it went out? Just wondering if they gave you an idea of what ratings you could expect.

So, its the DoD who determines severance? And your VA rating doesn't affect that?

The VA plays a role by rating conditions. If the VA rating for unfitting conditions is less than 30% then one gets severance which is calculated and paid by DoD.

the attny said 30 to 50% is what he would expect. I have no complaints though because with 0% DoD, I do not have to repay my severance pay.

Cupcakelady, he thought you'd get 30-50% DoD?!?!?! Welp, guess I won't get my hopes up too much then...

yes he did. he said I have nothing to worry about and he has no doubts that I would be retired. oh well.

So what happens after you find out about the ratings? I get message next week with my retirement date 30 Jan 15. Do I have to do a sep physical? I was told by the head of my medical department I don't need one but Psd is saying something different. I'm just confused how the end process works.

I did my sep physical last week. I was told it takes months and its hard to get appointments. However, I went there on Monday for the paperwork, did the dental appointment on Tuesday, had the medical part done on Friday and I have the signed paperwork now. This seemed too easy. I feel like I am missing something.

VA gave me proposed rating of 30% over the phone today. The VA rep said my ratings have been done for awhile and were sent back to the PEB on October 16th! :/ waiting. ..........

I was told for med seps that you don't need a final physical because of the C&P exams. Im going down there this morning to find out.

They told some of the guys here in H&S Bn that medical will give you a memo that explains why you don't need a final physical. The Area BAS should be able to do it no problem.

i went down and took my findings in today and was told I was good to go and that no final physical was needed, they signed my check out sheet and told me to come pick up my medical record before I go on terminal

Well I did it anyway haha.
